Clear (and distressing) example of animal waste. 18 billion animals were found to be wasted every year, but I bet things like this weren't always counted. As I mention in the blog, animal mortalities on farms are excluded from most global measurements

Food waste is a meaty subject

We're putting pressure on Target to make a public statement against ICE because they've been silent despite violent abductions in their stores. People bought all their $0.89 cans of salt (melts ICE) and then immediately returned it (ICE still here). Time to disrupt a little bit of business.

Food is not the only thing that determines your health. You also need healthy soil, clean water, and a livable climate.

If the entire nation increases its consumption of meat and dairy, we will not have any of those latter three things.

Healthy food is not healthy if it destroys the environment that produces it.

Ahmed al Ahmed, a Lebanese Muslim who owns a Sydney fruit shop, risked his life to disarm one of the Bondi Beach shooters.

His courage gives me hope amidst the horror and darkness. Muslims and Jews are not enemies. Our futures, in the Middle East and beyond, are intrinsically bound.

A true hero.
