This man ripped off teachers, nurses, small business owners - people from all walks of life and professions. Some lost their life savings. Not only did Trump let him out of prison, he also doesn’t have to pay back the victims.

One analytical model shows that, as of November 5th, the dismantling of U.S.A.I.D. has already caused the deaths of 600,000 people, two-thirds of them children. https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/jUzNSc

First Colbert, now Kimmel.

Last-minute settlements, secret side deals, multi-billion dollar mergers pending Donald Trump's approval.

Trump silencing free speech stifles our democracy. It sure looks like giant media companies are enabling his authoritarianism.

Becoming increasingly clear we’re gonna have to build a parallel infrastructure for all the media we really love. The reason all of this is happening under the color of law is hyperconsolidation, dissent being traded straight up for merger approval, or fear of harassment.

i think that if you are an upper income writer living in a major urban area complaining about “the laptop class” — really, if you are a knowledge worker of any kind complaining about the “laptop class — you have an obligation to quit your job and go work in a factory for a year
Apparently Mamdani voters are the most privileged class in history AND are bitter about having no money and living in an apartment with 3 roommates into their 30s.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

Marco Rubio needs to be asked whether he believes his grandfather who remained in the U.S. after receiving a deportation order from our govt should have been treated the way the father of 3 Marines was treated by ICE this weekend in California.

ASK HIM. Make him confront his lack of character.
So video of this 2012 interview is popping up on other sites. Feels super relevant at the moment. Wait for the moment Rubio gets pinned to the wall about his grandfather’s deportation order…
