FT's US columnist/commentator. Author of several books including NYT best selling biography of Zbigniew Brzezinski (Simon & Schuster 2025). People lacking a sense of humour might get muted.

Just a periodic reminder.
Wish people would stop saying Trump has done a U-turn on Ukraine. He does this every few weeks. Putin then makes a violent point of ignoring him. Trump's alleged change of heart is just a prelude to his next humiliation by Putin.

Fully agree with my paper's editorial on Trump. Ukraine needs Europe to stop flattering Trump the conman and take a clear stand for its own survival and values. www.ft.com/content/8ccf...

Just read transcript of GB News interview with Trump. North Korean broadcasting standards. Bev Turner is not a journalist. Her sycophancy was shameful.

“A politician’s greatest trick is to convince you that he's not one,” Nuzzi writes. “And what is a politician? Any man who wants to be loved more than other men and through his pursuit reveals why he cannot love himself.”

High end clickbait masquerading as sophistication.

Gotta give my friend @edwardluce.bsky.social credit: He published this column in the @financialtimes.com in the wee hours this morning in London, and it's now almost lunchtime in Washington and it has already aged like a bottle of 1869 Château Lafite Rothschild.

An important piece from @edwardluce.bsky.social. It speaks a truth many both-sidesers in the media have actively obscured. The anti-semitism in America comes from the right and it is getting worse and it has high-level MAGA sponsorship. We need to see it and reject it.
