The Match of Fates. The evil Lila is replacing the kind one, and Jb is gone as Jewelyn is back.
Lila's scales have a hypnotic effect, but in this new form the touch is enough to drop someone fairly quickly. She also has five hypnosis colors, two more than three. Oh, and her hair is prehensile.
The previous evil Lila art, with other art of normal Lila disappearing under it. Below this is Jb's art, grayed out, next to Jewelyn's art from previous. A big question mark is overlayed in the middle. The first thing Alya feels when Lila grabs her around the neck with her tail is choking. Lila squeezes tight with a grip declaring ownership. The second thing Alya feels happens at the same time and erases her sense of choking, as Lila’s scales stroke around her skin and her thoughts swirl into dazed mush, hypnotic waves pulsing through her body and silencing all thoughts not focused on how soft, silken, cool and enchanting her scales feel, despite how tight she grips her neck. Alya’s eyes drift shut, and when she opens them they pulse with rings of gentle lavender, soft blue, deep purple, penetrating red-violet, and thought-crushing dark purple. She smiles wide, Lila’s scales having hypnotized her before she can even look into her eyes. Lila drags Alya onstage and wraps her in her arms, giggling as she looks into Alya’s eyes with her own pulsing in her new set of five hypnotic colors. “You fell so quick for me, Alya,” Lila says. She leans closer and purrs, “You must be so eager to be an obedient slave for your goddess, aren’t you?” Alya moans and whimpers until Lila releases her tail from around her neck. “Yyyyesssyesyesyesgoddess.” “Good. Then let’s give this audience a show, so they know what to expect when they fall under my spell, too.” She pulls Alya close and kisses her lips, pouring hypnotic pulses through Alya’s head. Lila squeezes Alya in her arms as she rubs her chest and hips and scaly body against her, violet mist surrounding them and soaking through Alya’s senses until she’s aware only of Lila, nothing more. Alya’s mind collapses into surrender, every thought turned to obeying and worshiping Lila in any and every way she can. Lila’s hair twists up and curls around Alya like a tentacle, squeezing her tighter in Lila’s grasp. Alya’s mind softens, thoughts molded into obedient shape and hardened into submissive form. Lila slithers her long tongue around Alya’s and strokes and explores her, a tongue length unfamiliar to Lila, but one she’s sure she’ll have plenty of practice with. Lila pulls back from the kiss, letting her tongue wind out of Alya’s mouth, and she giggles as she presses closer around Alya. “You’re happy to be my very first hypnotized slave, aren’t you, Alya?”

Bracket with a mark at the final match, between Lila and Jb. “So you’re going to go your separate ways after this?” “Yes, even if I’ve learned a lot, I can learn more traveling the world.” “You just want to find more people to eat the dreams of.” “Now, Enna, you shouldn’t stand between someone and her dreams.” Belle sits at her interview table alongside Dragovoir, Enna, and Anne. She turns to the camera. “Oh, welcome back! Preparations for the final match of the tournament are under way, so in the meantime I thought I’d check in with all the competitors and get their take on the final match and tournament.” She gestures to the others. “Right now I’m sitting down with the Dream World Pokemon Dragovoir and the twin lamias Enna Koizumi and Anne Koizumi. During round one Enna and Dragovoir were matched, which ended in Enna catching Dragovoir in a Poké Ball and training her for her next matches. Dragovoir did win a couple but lost to one of the finalists, Jb. Enna won another match before losing to the other finalist, Lila, and was eliminated by Jb. Anne meanwhile was eliminated by the two semifinalists Mira and Ageul, who came in third and fourth place in the tournament. “They’ve just been telling me that Dragovoir plans to go her separate ways after the tournament to grow more. Dragovoir, after what you’ve learned, do you think you would win a match against Enna now?” “Oh, certainly,” Dragovoir says. “I’m not so overconfident now. I thought I could sweep through at the beginning, but I know not to underestimate my opponents now.” “Yeah, sure you could win,” Enna says. She slides her arm over Dragovoir’s shoulders. “I’m a fantastic teacher, apparently!” “You, teach?” Anne chuckles. “That’s a reach.” “You know, you two very nearly had a match together,” Belle says. “If Mira had lost her second match—she very nearly did—and Enna had lost her second match, the bracket would have shifted to pit you two against each other. Dragovoir, how do you think an Anne and Enna match would have gone?” “Ooh,” Dragovoir says, “don’t put me between them like that. Well, Enna made it further in the bracket than Anne, but Anne utilizes the very powers Enna taught me better. Anne, I think you’d take it.” “Aw, you’re sweet,” Anne says. “I’m going to miss you.” “So now that we’re at the final round,” Belle says, “who do you think is going to win the tournament?” “I’ve faced both,” Enna says, “and despite Jb’s power I think Lila can charm the crowd with her bubbly personality. She doesn’t even need hypnosis to bring the crowd to her side.” “Sure,” Dragovoir says, “but you didn’t experience Jb’s power firsthand. That stuff is potent. I do think Lila has a chance, but it will be tough to face Jb again.”

My mind is not so easily swayed.” “Except when facing Lila,” Belle says. “On that note, who do you expect to win today’s match?” “Certainly Lila,” Jb says. “She knows how to woo a crowd. Mira may be clever, and she may have powerful hypnotic abilities, but there’s nothing more powerful than playing to a crowd until they start playing your game.” “So you believe the final match will be a repeat of the first one between you and Lila?” Belle asks. “Yes,” Jb says with a dark smirk, “and this time the result will be different.” “Is there a way you could see Mira come out victorious?” Belle asks. “I suppose if she properly tried to woo the crowd,” Jb says. “I admit, with her treating Alya to her powers this time, I’m not sure what she will do. She has a very strange approach to romance.” Belle laughs. “I think Wren would agree with you. She does only seem to like those she chases.” “I suppose the chase is itself quite tantalizing,” Jb says. “Let’s go back to your last match,” Belle says. “Did you know that your collar would work on Ageul?” “Of course,” Jb says. She spins a collar on her finger. “This one is magic. It doesn’t matter the physiology, it’ll still hypnotize them.” “Where did you get those things, anyway?” Belle asks. Jb wags a finger. “Ah-ah, I wouldn’t reveal my secrets like that.” She leans forward and looks into Belle’s eyes. “But if you’d like one, I would be happy to give you one of mine.” Alya stands atop the stage, waving her hands to the crowd. “Are you all ready to rock?” she shouts. “Well, I am! Culturally speaking I’m a naga, but they’re both just names, after all.” She slithers to Lila. “And don’t worry, just be yourself. Build that confidence! I’m giving my full consent to everything you wanna do!” Lila smiles and sighs. “Well, that’s nice to hear.” Alya glances back as Lila slithers her tail over her shoulders. Dr. Fara will not be able to create portals to warp out, and Revasa will not be able to manipulate time.” “Excellent,” Veda says. “We should have no more problems from—Wait. All three are in the chains?” “Correct.” “Why is Alya in chains?” Veda asks. “It should be sufficient to place her in the cell. She has no special power we must be concerned about, does she?” “Not that I’m aware of,” Eduards says. “However, after I placed the others in chains, Alya said it was unfair. She said she should be in chains, too.” “Did she now?” Veda asks. “In her words exactly, she was jealous.” Veda chuckles. “Eduards, have I told you recently how much I appreciate your ability to maintain a steady voice?” “Thank you, my lady.” “Everything is cleared up now,” Veda says. She nods to Duval and Debora. “The saboteurs, I suppose you could call them, are locked up, so the tournament should resume as usual.” Duval and Debora stare as Veda pulls her tail away and uncoils from them. “I do hope you’ll stay for the final few matches, however.” “I think we should leave,” Debora says. “Aw now, Debora, I would like to stay and see the results,” Duval says. Debora groans and waves her hand. “Fine, it’s not like we’re not late to anywhere we were heading anyway, what’s another two or three weeks? We’re not staying here, though.” Veda grins to them. “You’re certainly welcome to.” “Thank you,” Duval says, “but if it’s all the same, we’d rather watch closer, stretch our legs a bit.” “Of course,” Veda says. “Just be wary of Jb. Her match is today.” As Duval and Debora leave Veda’s VIP room, Eduards receives a call from an unknown party. “Hey, Eduards, this is Duth, the host!” I tell them. “I just got an amazing idea, so I got some instructions for you, okay?” We’ll find out my amazing idea later, right now let’s go to Belle for an interview! “Welcome back to the tournament!” Belle says. “We’re here for the semifinals, and today we begin with the losers bracket with the match between Jb and Ageul. For this occasion, I’ve brought on, despite the risk, Jb herself to speak today.” “Thank you so much, Ms. Peltonen,” Jb says. “Rest assured I won’t harm you in any way, including mentally.” She leans forward and grins. “I know the rules of the tournament, so I know I’m not allowed to hypnotize you.” Belle nods. “I’m glad you’re prepared to follow the rules. As we’ve seen, that makes you less of a chaotic element than some of the other competitors.”

They have a clever strategy to build their monopoly, which any functional government would have banned: if you want your indie book listed in Kindle Unlimited, you have to be exclusive. 🧵

She just needs to focus on what sets her apart.” “She likes swinging from her own tail,” Anne says. “One of these days she will get hurt. I think I actually made an image reference for the room placement in the living quarters, but I'm not sure I still have it. Though I also think I might've just like... divided the bracket into four quarters and matched them by placement, so Lila, Alya, Maestra, and Mira had adjacent rooms, etc.
Bracket with a mark at winners round 3 match 2, between Alya and Mira. “Welcome back to the tournament!” Belle says. “Today’s match is between Alya Slacen and Mira. I’m joined today with Ms. Lila Pachis and Mr. Persnakety. Lila, congratulations on winning your last match.” “Thank you,” Lila says, “I’m really excited to have made it this far.” “Are you nervous about reaching the semifinals?” Belle asks. “A little,” Lila says. “I don’t get another chance now, right? There’s no losers bracket for losing the semifinals.” “But you’ve done spectacularly,” Persnakety says. “Your last two matches were splendid to watch. No matter what happens, be proud of how you’ve done.” “Thank you,” Lila says. “I am proud.” “Now you were assigned a room in the competitor suite across from Alya’s, correct?” Belle asks. “And you’re right next door to Mira. What do you think of them from what you’ve seen?” “Mira is so serious,” Lila says. She chuckles. “A little intimidating, in fact.” Persnakety nods. “Yes, indeed, that’s very true.” “She’s actually pretty nice, though,” Lila says. She even offered me a bit of food she cooked in her room, it was wonderful. I feel kind of bad I couldn’t give her something in return, if my next match is against her I should find something to share with her.” “What do you think of Alya?” Belle asks. Lila laughs—she laughs until she fakes it while she blushes. “She’s flirty. Very flirty.” Lila leans forward. “In fact, she actually propositioned me to stay the night over, I told her I was busy preparing for my matches and politely declined, though eventually I just had to tell her I wasn’t interested.” Belle gives her a flat look. “I know what you mean.” “Actually,” Lila says, “didn’t—didn’t I see you leave Alya’s room once or twice?” “Ahh,” Belle babbles loudly to drown Lila out as she blushes, and she shouts, “Persnakety! You know Mira, and you’ve faced Alya, who do you think will win the match?” “Huh? What?” Persnakety asks. “Oh! Right, well, that’s a tough call. This is the first time we’ve seen Alya face a lamia, and as we just established, she’ll proposition lamias as much as she will humans.” He shakes his head. “Mira is too focused for that, though.” His mouth hangs open a moment. “I think? I know she always goes after challenges. Maybe she’ll see Alya as a good challenge. Oh, I don’t know!” “I think Alya has an edge,” Lila says. “She’ll woo the audience pretty well. Mira is—well, I almost want to say more respectful, but I’m not sure that’s it.” She looks down. “I think Alya has a tendency to treat her dates as—like a piece of meat. Mira seems to appreciate them as they are, more.” She looks at Belle. “But given her exhibitions with Wren, I think that’s because she’ll treat them as game. Like, wild game. For sport.”

With me today is Enna’s sister, Lady Anne Koizumi, along with Lila’s opponent in her last match, Mx Vil Garrido. Thank you for joining me today.” Vil’s large tail is curled throughout the interview tent, while Anne, clothed in her slinky green dress and wide-brimmed hat, curls her shorter tail around her chair, but the end of her tail slithers over the table. “You’re quite welcome, Ms. Peltonen,” Anne says. “Happy to be here again, Belle,” Vil says. “And I’m quite happy to meet a fellow lamia of such noble bearing,” Anne says with a nod to Vil. She takes Vil’s hand in hers. “Likewise with you, Lady Koizumi.” “So how do you feel about your sister’s chances this match?” Belle asks. “She certainly needs to apply herself,” Anne says. “Ms. Pachis is popular. I believe my sister can do it, but I’ve told her she has to be aggressive. She has done very little actual hypnosis in this tournament. That needs to change.” “While I don’t normally recommend one go against their typical spirit,” Vil says, “Lila does take the full package in, so to speak. She has brought her long tail and hypnotic eyes to the table in her previous matches, and she has a beautiful singing voice. Enna has designed beautiful outfits, but that is difficult to show off in this sort of exhibition.” He turns to Anne. “What other hobbies does she enjoy?” “She found an old camera a while ago and got into photography,” Anne says. “She likes to take pictures of me modeling her outfits.” “Perhaps she can find a way to incorporate that into her exhibition,” Vil says. “The important thing is to stay true to yourself. That will draw voters more than trying to fake it.” “No worries,” Anne says. She nods. “I do expect my sister will flub the match in the end.” “She does bring a lot of energy to the table,” Vil says. “Does she dance at all? That would make a good counterpart to Lila’s singing.” “She plays sports,” Anne says. “She is definitely energetic, but grace—well, I’m afraid I got all the grace in the family.” “Still, if she focuses on that boisterous energy, she could set her apart from Lila,” Vil says. “Lila is rather nervous before she gets started.” “It’s time to find out how the competitors will handle their exhibitions,” Belle says. “Thank you both for being here today.” “It’s my pleasure,” Vil says.
