It seems crazy we used to let people smoke in restaurants and on planes. My hope is that in the near future, not cleaning the air in shared spaces will seem just as gross and harmful as indoor smoking seems now in retrospect.
Study in Helsinki indicating benefits of portable air cleaners on lowering infection risk in daycare centers, less absences & parent absences from work in intervention vs. reference (no air cleaner) groups. Cleaning indoor air is not difficult and it works.

Earth’s orbit is now so crowded with spacecraft and debris that a catastrophic satellite collision could occur in just 2.8 days if avoidance systems fail, which could disrupt GPS and global communications, according to a new study.

We’re no longer allowed to know about the accelerating climate catastrophes headed our way. I guess you only get to find out the day your house floods, burns down, or gets ripped apart by a hurricane or tornado.
Exclusive: The Trump administration is moving to dismantle the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Colorado, according to a senior White House official, taking aim at one of the world's leading climate research labs.

A second levee broke south of Seattle last night as our relentless parade of atmospheric rivers continues.

Thinking of the John Holdren quote that we have three options: mitigation, adaptation or suffering. The third is growing ever more apparent as progress lags on one and two.

Yes, climate change is enhancing the flooding.

While it’s disappointing most people eat up articles assuring them it’s fine to raw-lung SARS and endlessly consume/travel to prop up our petrol death economy, at least people are drawing the line at making overt racism palatable. The reactions to this dude’s 🗑️ article are giving me an ounce of hope
I wrote about why we should not celebrate someone losing their job, especially in today’s America, even when they’ve done terrible racist things.

Losing a job should also be harder and involve workers’ bodies not unilateral management decisions.

Officials warned of “locally catastrophic” river flooding in Washington state Wednesday amid a major atmospheric river storm that was poised to drop 20 inches of rain in the Cascade Range.

Two rivers north of Seattle, the Snohomish and Skagit rivers, were predicted to crest at record levels.

“The truth does not change according to our ability to stomach it.” - Flannery O’Connor

There’s a whole lotta tummy ache induced denial rolling around about climate change. There’s soooooooo much data, but fact just don’t seem to matter if it makes people feel bad. 💔
A story like this instantly weeds out who is full of sh*t & who isn’t.

This is highly credible scientific data pointing towards the livable world ending by 2050.

Anyone not engaging with this is economically captured, high on their own supply or a well paid idiot.
