Rhetorically, the GOP was the party of limited federal govt. Conservatives, from centrists to far right wing nuts, screamed about government overreach and a surveillance state.

Now that those fears are being realized, they're quite happy. It was never about freedom.

I'll just watch Bournemouth/Everton. I can't bear to watch a match in which either Spurs or Newcastle could win.

Always important to look at the data
Fentanyl. Drug Overdoses, including Fentanyl, are not even in the top 20 causes of death in the USA. Cancer, Diabetes, Covid, Heart Disease all in the top 10, and all have had their research funding cut. They aren't murdering just Venezuelans. However they are killing us much slower.

The GOP has exclusively served the interests of racists and the ultra wealthy for my entire political life. So, I tend to vote Dem. Some Ind, but it's a two-party system.

I have to say, this shutdown deal in the Senate is EXACTLY why everyone HATES Dems. What a bunch of incompetent assholes.

ah, perhaps instead of pumping millions into endless factional infighting Dem donors could invest in making local Dem organizations genuine civic spaces that can reach people during and between elections

World Series: grossly overfunded star-studded behemoth with billion dollar payroll gloats in narrow victory over plucky underdog.

Pretty much encapsulates the zeitgeist of 2025.

Selling out their own constituents with no fear of accountability. The worse they make things for working people, the more votes they get. It's perverse.
Popok: The blue states and cities effectively brought the cases. The red states are suffering, and their AGs are sitting on the sidelines. There’s no red state that brought a case. Think about that: not one red state attorney general brought a case to help prevent starvation and suffering. None.

Ola! We were the only outlet outside of Portugal to cover the game last night. That’s not a shot at anyone else, budgets are tight and there are lots of things to cover! Arseblog News paid to cover it, as the site has for many years now.

"They just like to blame brown people" is true and a brave thing to say.
Mark Kelly: “lf you are undocumented in our country, you cannot get healthcare from the Affordable Care Act exchange. You are not eligible for Medicare. You are not eligible for Medicaid. They’re just making that up. They just like to blame brown people.”

Why does it take a BRITISH newspaper to break a story like this? Where the hell is the American media? 🤨
September 21, 2025 at 2:25 PM
Look, we got hit on the break by the best number nine on planet earth. After that, we forced City to play a low block, tamped into their own half like Dyche's Burnley, and we came away with a draw. We look amazing. I'm quite jocose. #ARSMNC

The MSM whitewashing of Kirk is in full swing.

They talk about his advocacy for civil debate, but they won’t play anything he said to stoke incivility.

They talk about his opposition to violence, but nobody talks about his role in J6.

We are watching Kirk’s history being rewritten in real time.

If he were a second-grader, they would have already forgotten him.

Don't let the right cast this awful man as a champion of free speech and the exchange of ideas. I'm sorry he was a victim of violence, but he's no hero ferfuksake.
Feel like I’m going insane with the revisionist history that Charlie Kirk fostered open debate. He chilled speech and his targeting of professors for wrongthink led to threats, harassment, and being forced out of their jobs. His legacy is chilling speech right now, about him

Too bad the GOP effectively criminalized studying how information moves online and news orgs laid off and demonized all the reporters who covered the burgeoning online accelerationist performative death cults. All of that work was somehow "censorship" that needed to be stopped. Now we're here.
