Bill Dixon's recorded output is filled with wondrous music, of course. But as I've mentioned previously, I find the stretch of albums he released on Soul Note between 1980 and 1999 particularly strong. Especially Thoughts (1987) and Son of Sisyphus (1990), both of which are simply astonishing.
