The Ponizsa illusion - Kanizsa triangle produces Ponzo illusion, but oddly it inverts apparent depth: the longer line looks closer! Also has an inversion effect like we studied in Altan et al 2025 Proc Roy Soc (doi.org/10.1098/rspb...) but it's also in reverse! 🤔

Likely one of the worst pieces of advocacy in the history of mankind. Google’s Ken Walker suggests “The true measure of these models’ value is whether Americans are actually using them.” Really. So rampant illegal drug use demonstrates its value? This is nonsense, even by Google’s abysmal standards.

I have my students co-develop class policies, and they pretty much unanimously chose to ban AI in the class. There were a few questions about using Grammarly, but those were the only real exceptions any students expressed (and even then, we talked about alternatives to that and they were open to it)
