Why no SF/fantasy-themed cheap Christmas romance films?

Starship administrator loses her job, has to return to her home planet for Space Christmas, meets nerdy xenobotanist next door

That sort of thing

As an occasional watcher, and someone just following by text, would it fair to say, what the fuck was that match? No-one could bat, and then one guy was really good at batting and wrapped the whole thing up in an hour?

As the dust settles on last night's footy, I notice that New Caledonia are in the inter-confederation play-offs

Suggesting the possibility of Old Caledonia v New Caledonia on the biggest stage of all

Who have YOU seen in the nip on the London stage? I'm starting the bidding with Rufus Jones and Fiona Shaw
for the past couple of weeks I have been in a slightly testy argument with my mother about whether it was David Tennant or David Threlfall we saw naked on stage at the Royal Exchange in the 1990s.

It turned out we were talking about completely different plays we had gone to separately.

Almost done! I've put up the dangly blue ones, the fiddly pink glass one and the trio (although my other half made me put two of them away)

I can never find the big daft-looking one. It'll probably just appear somewhere when it's too late and drive me mad
I never put the decorations up until Standing by the Fence Screaming Day

50 YEARS AGO TODAY: BBC Schools' Near And Far talks wind. When people talk about unsettling theme tunes they understandably reach for Picture Box first but that's because more of them haven't heard this Radiophonic Workshop set to maximum creepiness.
BBC SCHOOLS - NEAR AND FAR: When The Wind Blows (TX 2.2.83)
Mary Downing presents this long running primary school series, with it's creepy opening sequence! We learn all about the damage that strong winds can do to the land and to the people who live there. Recorded in Spring Term 1983. No continuity here, just a glimpse of the Dots Clock. From my own perso

I've had an idea...

Someone told me that cos there are nearly 800 episodes of the Simpsons, it's possible to describe all other shows with a clip from a Simpsons episode. So with that in mind, I'm going to use a freezeframe/gif to describe every classic Dr Who serial 😁 1 season per day...

Feature length Star Cops reboot
Serial killer horror, not my favorite—but why has no one made a serial killer in space movie? This question brought to you by a discussion of the weird Jason movie.

If you had a mind to celebrate this resurrection, Osterman's manifestations could work as inverse stations of the cross

He died a lot more suddenly than Jesus but he came back a lot more gradually

I read the article. It's mostly tegenaria domestica, your ordinary house spider! Which on the one hand makes this megaweb less of a horror. It's our regular guys, we know them. On the other hand...
World's biggest spiderweb discovered inside 'Sulfur Cave' with 111,000 arachnids living in pitch black.
