I guess when you're terrified of everything, everything looks like terrorism.
Can we please clarify that RFK Jr is not the leader of a movement. This is not a big cultural shift. It's batshit crazy people using power they don't have to enforce policies nobody likes or wants.
For the past decade, conversations around autism shifted from focusing around curing #ActuallyAutistic people to accommodating and accepting autistic people. We now live in the RFK Jr. backlash, which shifts discussions around autism toward prevention

Opinion | RFK Jr.'s latest anti-vaccine move will cause untold harm to autistic Americans
The Trump administration is working toward treating autism as something to be prevented, rather than building a health care system that helps people.

Duffy is truly one of the more embarrassing regime clowns.

These people have absolutely nothing of substance to offer the world they want to rule.
Duffy on his demand that air travelers not wear slippers or pajamas: "It honors our country ... don't take your shoes off and put your feet on the chair ahead of you"

One gets the sense that sexual harassment is a core value of the tech industry.
Weird how Microsoft put two different buttons here even though both of them day "go fuck yourself"

One of the things I do to test if I'm dreaming is try to read, because text in dreams is often garbled or unstable - something to do with linguistic processing in the sleeping brain.

It's remarkably similar to ai detection.

They're fucking busy, Brendan.

Most gen z folk I know are working multiple jobs and wish they could go to the protests but are currently struggling to survive.

And I remember when millennials were everyone's favorite generation to call lazy when we were all busy trying to work as well.
My @nytimes.com op-ed: The Boomers Are Protesting Trump. Where Is Gen Z? www.nytimes.com/2025/11/24/o... (gift link)

The key point: "The absence of young people from conventional protests is both a problem and a warning."

Mark Zuckerberg protects sex traffickers.

That's a pretty big deal!
Sex trafficking on Meta platforms was both difficult to report and widely tolerated. Instagram’s former head of safety testified that when she joined Meta in 2020 she was shocked to learn the company had a “17x” strike policy for accounts that engaged in the “trafficking of humans for sex.”
7 Allegations Against Meta in Newly Unsealed Filings
Court filings allege Meta tolerated sex trafficking, hid harms to teens, and prioritized growth over user safety for years.

If you know this, why not name them?
Thomas Massie says the FBI is sitting on information that implicates 20 other men in Epstein's child sex trafficking operation

They include a rockstar, six billionaires (including one from Canada), a high-profile government official, a very prominent banker, and a magician

Marimar Martinez is a US citizen who was shot by ICE five times in Chicago.

She was then arrested, labelled a “domestic terrorist” and slandered on social media.

All charges against her have been dropped.

In this interview she shows on of the seven holes the ICE agent put in her body.

Q: Are you affirming that you think President Trump is a fascist?

MAMDANI: I've spoken about--

TRUMP: That's okay. You can just say yes. I don't mind.

Frankly this country needs an outright tax boycott in January.

Every single one of us should be refusing to fund Kristi Noem and Steven Miller's pet rape squads.

Let the IRS they've gutted try to chase down 75 million people who all refuse to fund this bullshit regime.

86 Democrats saying with their whole chest they don't support workers or the poor.

Oh, they'll take minor, incremental measures, but they will never allow any meaningful structural change.

Fuck all of these people.

Trumpism is what severed my relationship with most of my family. Because his election and the slide into overt fascism convinced me that I was never going to trust them again.

Replaying Mass Effect to get through the end of the semester and I'm still *really annoyed* at how hard it is to avoid the strictly heterosexual dating sim bullshit.

All you "Blue no matter who" people get to take full responsibility for every person the DC cops brutalize from this point forward.
These 20 House Democrats just joined Republicans in voting to fully repeal DC's police reform laws.

Wiping off the books critical laws on use of force, transparency, and preventing violent cops from getting rehired.

They think that they should have more say over DC police than the people of DC.

It's almost like having power over other people really does have a corrupting influence, and we shouldn't be allowing anyone to stay in a given position of authority or power for more than like, ten years at most.

This reaffirms the argument against calling it mere "capitulation" and "caving" when institutions comply with orders they could just as successfully resist.

It's not caving to do what you already clearly wanted to do.

Both of these men deserve to be dropped in hot oil for the things they've done and continue to do.

What I'm sick to death of is every single fucking American institution - educational, political and social - failing to stand against authoritarian violence.
