A.I. is trained on a dataset. So even with the most optimistic take on the technology, you only get what's in the dataset. That dataset will have omissions and oversights. It won't cover obscure material. Which makes using it for research frecking stupid.
Suspect a HUGE issue with "A.i." summary tools is that they're full of mistakes that you'd only know if you already know the material. So people THINK it's helping when it's actually making them more ignorant.
I work mostly in non-profit database management, something AI should aid gracefully, and I genuinely gave LLM AI’s a shot in the first few months of all the hype, and it… can’t do anything. It’s also wrong about the historical topic I studied the most. But AI shills still love to tell me I’m naive…
