Remember: Exum called out, "Do something, bitch," before he shot Martinez.

The first shots went through the windshield (as with Good), later shots went through her side window.

Like w/Pretti, she had a lawfully licensed weapon (which never left her purse) they used as an excuse.

I want to go back to Marimar Martinez' request to lift protective order in her case. She was shot by CBP in October. As w/Good & Pretti, they lied to cover up shooting.

As a threshold issue, Bovino was just 1-degree of separation from all 3 shootings.

Definitely! Keep pushing for Miller to go! Keep pushing Congress to remove him
And Stephen Miller still called him a domestic terrorist who went there to attack federal officers.

Stephen Miller has to go!

I don't think a Trump regime without Miller would be decidedly different than the wannabe "Forever Reich" we're experiencing now.

But it would lose the plotline that has driven it for a decade now, a plot that comes straight out of Stephen Miller's head and, unfortunately, into our reality.

The union that represents CBP agents calling for Noem and Miller to step down or be fired. A Catholic Cardinal calling for Congress to defund ICE. Yes and yes.

Miller is a dumbass who happened to bet on the right horse ten years ago and rode that horse (also a dumbass) to power. He's like a guy who thinks he's a financial whiz because he won at roulette. Our awful political system may have a pro-idiot bias, but their weakness is that they are still idiots.
It’s common and sort of understandable to see Miller as this evil genius. Important to remember he’s actually a complete fucking moron who, when he got a chance, immediately engineered a PR disaster that shitcanned Trump’s best-polling issue. Always the way with these types.

IMO, firing or not firing Bovino is irrelevant.

Firing Noem would a step in the right direction.

Firing Miller would be meaningful.

He's the reason ICE went from targeted raids with"collateral arrests" to going to home depots and 7/11s. He literally said that shit. Pee Wee German and Russell Vought are the ones leading this yt supremacist movement disguised as "immigration".

This is happening! An NH friend of mine lives just across the river from Maine and works over there sometimes. He said the locals are already picking out ICE agents at restaurants and bars, on the streets and at stores to berate them and run them off. Mariners will just say people are "from away"
Hey, let’s go to Maine in the dead of winter, a time of year that certainly won’t make us more recognizable to a populace that has the ability to spot an out-of-stater from 500 yards away.

Exactly right. Bovino's departure barely elicits a shrug... especially with Homan, of all people, going in to "de-escalate". The game of musical chairs keeps the focus off of Miller, as it often does.
Bovino is just the patsy - a noxious and odious fall guy. Stephen Miller is the architect and prime mover of the whole thing. Everything they do is at his direction - often after his threats. As long as he runs policy in the WH, nothing will change no matter how many Bovinos come and go.

Questions for the WH press corps tomorrow:

“Isn’t it unfair that Bovino lost his job while Stephen Miller faced no consequences?”

“What message does that send to the rank and file ICE agents?”

“Has POTUS been getting bad advice from Miller?”

“Does the President still have confidence in Miller?”
Stephen Miller made the same claims and this would be an *excellent* time for mainstream folks (papers, celebs, athletes) and Dems to demand his resignation as well. So consistently and loudly that the WH is forced to respond. Make him their liability.
