I don't think a Trump regime without Miller would be decidedly different than the wannabe "Forever Reich" we're experiencing now.

Miller is a dumbass who happened to bet on the right horse ten years ago and rode that horse (also a dumbass) to power. He's like a guy who thinks he's a financial whiz because he won at roulette. Our awful political system may have a pro-idiot bias, but their weakness is that they are still idiots.

This is happening! An NH friend of mine lives just across the river from Maine and works over there sometimes. He said the locals are already picking out ICE agents at restaurants and bars, on the streets and at stores to berate them and run them off. Mariners will just say people are "from away"

Exactly right. Bovino's departure barely elicits a shrug... especially with Homan, of all people, going in to "de-escalate". The game of musical chairs keeps the focus off of Miller, as it often does.
Bovino is just the patsy - a noxious and odious fall guy. Stephen Miller is the architect and prime mover of the whole thing. Everything they do is at his direction - often after his threats. As long as he runs policy in the WH, nothing will change no matter how many Bovinos come and go.
