Good news! I've created a small and very basic tutorial to creating IF in TADS 3.1.3 using the adv3lite library and Inform 7!

Hey, I bet you didn't hear that Zork 1, 2, and 3 were open-sourced today!

…Oh, you have heard. Yeah. Way ahead of me. :)

Here's my comments, and some details that you might not have seen.

We don't know. What we do know is the wiring diagram works. We built it, virtually, in @godotengine.org. We fed it scans of the books we found.

And the books are very, very strange. The "game" that resulted is also strange.

We're hoping people can make sense of it for us.

At Develop 2024 I gave a talk on how we tested the narrative logic in Mask of the Rose, now up on YouTube. If you're interested in testing branching narratives with millions of possible states, but you also love dumb jokes delivered in a monotone, then hold onto your hat: youtu.be/7nxGsml1DUY?...

We need a National Book Awards-style game award: every year a committee of five freaks is handed the keys to all the prestige, they pick stuff no one's heard of, readers (players) get mad, the committee members get defensive, no one is truly happy, and then next year we do it all again

Cannot recommend modules by @kharrak.bsky.social highly enough. He is a skilled adventuresmith and we've had some extremely fun times playtesting his modules. Without fail they have all had those "OH SHIT" horror moments.
Mothership Month 2025 may be over, but we're still hard at work: today we're releasing UNDER THE SKIN, the newest adventure from all-start creator @kharrak.bsky.social (Bloom, VR-Dead). The twist? Any character, including the PCs, may be a monster without realizing it.

Apocalypse World is responsible for fostering curiosity and inspiring confidence in so many designers. It helped build an era for games incredibly rich with creativity.
