The article doesnt actually mention them "distancing" themselves from Palantir, only that prompts to give your ID to Persona were "a test, which has concluded"

You are telling me that, no joke, the support ice "protester" is complaining that they were *assaulted while protesting*.

Hm. I wonder what their opinion on ICE assaulting protestors is then.

(turns out this baby is rage-bate garbage and is doing it PURELY for the attention. WORST kind of human.)
over on x the everything app some Chicago high school kid named Danny Spud tried to disrupt his school's anti-ICE protest by yelling about how much he loves ICE and then filmed himself getting walloped by a fellow student lmao

This is who you are sending your data to when you use age verification with Discord or VRChat.

Because they aren’t using it for age, they legitimately want to track you everywhere, everyday and learn what you are doing.

Fall out of favor? They know everything to make your life hell.

In an alarming development, it appears the UK Government covered up a massive spike in trans youth suicides after restrictions.

Then covered it up again when caught.

Now, after fighting for years, the data is public: trans suicide increased 5x in the country.

This is another very important and revealing exchange. Rep. Scanlon is making a crucial point, one well worth listening to. And she does it calmly. But Trump has created a market for obnoxious, childish defiance of Congress. The Attorney General‘s response is outrageous, even impeachment-worthy.
SCANLON: Can we assume the DOJ has prepared that list of groups that are designated as 'domestic terrorist organizations'?

BONDI: I'm not going to answer it yes or no, but I know antifa is part of it

S: Will you commit to providing this committee with the list?

BONDI: I won't commit to anything

We, as a society, have just discarded all responsibility to properly raising children (I believe intentionally to make "worker drones"). Instead of working WITH parents to help them connect with and protect their kids, we continue to write laws that hurt EVERYONE to let them keep raising iPad kids.
As a fucking parent TALK TO YOUR FUCKING KIDS THEN. Worried they'll see porn? Talk to them about porn. Worried they'll see gore? Talk to them about gore. Worried they'll get groomed? Talk to them about red flags and cultivate trust with them so they won't feel they have to hide things from you.
"As a parent, I am deeply concerned about what my child is accessing online. Albeit not enough to check or to install some very basic software that would prevent them from accessing dodgy material online. That's why the Online Safety Act is so important."

Just got rid of my @discord.com Nitro, which is unfortunate that its necessary, as I genuinely use it to pass large files around and send quite large text messages for business stuff. But personal information collection at scale like that can piss right off.

I want it on the record of history that artists realized the harm immediately and were (and continue to be) loud bitches trying to stop the idiots who are out of their minds.
I'm convinced AI is our generation's radium - a discovery with genuinely useful applications in specific, controlled circumstances that we stupidly put in everything from kid's toys to toothpaste until we realised the harm far too late where future generations will ask if we were out of our minds.

americans: whenever you see a turbotax advertisement, never let yourself forget that turbotax and companies like it are WHY we have to file taxes like we do in the first place.
