The trick is to put in silly jokes and references for yourself

I think they probably dislike Macbeth since Macbeth doesn't kill the king in a combat. So he is a coward that isn't facing his foes head on. Though they probably think it is a happy ended that such a coward is over thrown and the other character have their vengeance.

Yeah, that is why it is fun!

But I think it is fun/ interesting that in a culture where everyone is plotting/manuvering, the most romantic thing is what is perceived as brutal honesty

I think it is more open hostility dukat is always (attempting) charming to sisko. But this is also why dukat wants to fuck Kira who keeps telling him to fuck off.

Also we know the Klingons like Hamlet. But what do they think of Titus Andronicus? Do they still see that as a tragedy?
kelmcdonald.bsky.social
Like there is a Cardassian engineer lady who thinks O’Brien being hostile to her is flirting because that is flirting in their culture.
So got me wondering is the standard romance novel in cardassia enemies to lovers?

I always like their conversation because with I think art/pop culture frequently gets looked over when people talk world building (unless they are mocking it as strange/over the top). But a lot of my stray trek thoughts are about what are books and movies like in x
kelmcdonald.bsky.social
Because I think about what gets held up as “the greats” in western canon and a lot of those would also be considered dry by the average person.
And in defense Garak starts to talk structure which makes me think more Beowulf or possibly the Iliad.
kelmcdonald.bsky.social
I got another silly trek question. Garak leads Bashir “the greatest work in cardassian literature” and Bashir calls it dry. If positions were refer, would this be like reccomending Beowulf? Or more like Crime and Punishment?

So Symphony of the Night was pretty cheap on the playstation store. What if I played it for the first time on Halloween? hmmmmm 🤔
