Same ddt. Working in service design for govtech. Bikes, books, cats. But I get out. All content here is personal.

If you know how it works, you are not the user. If your mother says she loves you, find a second source.
Going through job application processes again (hello, I’m available to hire) and I hope, hope dearly, that nobody used Service Designers in their application processes. They’re almost universally… not good.

Related question: why are hiring processes NOT service designed?

THIS IS BIG

For non-academics who might not understand why:
1. Sen. Warren is still a Harvard professor so this is a call coming from inside the house
2. As a tenured law prof, Warren knows it is a VERY big deal from a labor standpoint to call on Harvard to ignore tenure. The bar for this is HIGH.
Per CNN, Elizabeth Warren is calling on Harvard to cut ties with Larry Summers after Jeffrey Epstein's emails released last week by House Dems featured Summers making sexist comments + asking for Epstein’s romantic advice.

And I was juuuust wondering what "value" Johnson would have in a homo economous world
Shorter answer: religions are money-printers in America
Q: Why are you creating a new religion?

Bryan Johnson: “We’re in this new phase where we’re trying to reimagine what it means to be human. Religions have proven, over the past several thousand years, to be the most efficacious form to organize human efforts. It’s just a tried-and-true methodology.”

If you don't think trees are magnificent and magical, try raking and bagging all the leaves two trees can shed and still look pretty full.

Keep coming back to Summers’ annoyance that this female mentee he’s trying to sleep with “takes her presentation very seriously.” To men like this—to a lot of men—women’s intellectual or professional ambition is an irritating presumption that they condescend to tolerate.
The emails have Summers reporting to Epstein about his attempts to date a Harvard economics student & to hit on her during a seminar she was giving.

I used to think the Pearl Jam song was "Hottentots, they fade away". That so annoyed my grunge-loving girlfriend.
i used to think the lyric was ‘i wanna rock and roll all night / and part of every day’ and i remember thinking, honestly that sounds reasonable

Having had taught for a few years, with a much smaller age gap, I'm aghast that anyone would do this, let alone do it and still fail upward.
