1/ Ok, lot's of new followers here, so let me give everyone my "Reader's Digest" bio.

I grew up in rural NC, and got my BS in Physics from NC State.

While figuring out grad school, I took the first job offered to me: IBM PC Company (mid 90's) mostly designing graphics cards and motherboards.

Last night I dreamed I was watching a lost episode of M*A*S*H called "The Black Sheep" where Frank Burns's younger brother Joe arrived wounded at the 4077.

Frank refused to talk to him, claiming he had been disowned by the family for dropping out of college to voluntary join the Army.

1/ An experiment by Sarah Brosnan and Frans de Waal with capuchin monkeys showed that capuchins will be content in an environment where all can trade a rock for the same reward: a cucumber slice.

But as soon as they see another monkey receive a grape in exchange for a rock, they become angry.

GREAT reporting here, although I admit the headline made me chuckle.

“Could Tether do more to stop financial crime?”

Well, yes they could stop committing it, for one.
Cryptocurrency giant Tether is wildly profitable. Can it do more to stop financial crime? We examined a single crypto wallet address that moved more than $1.4 billion in Tether tokens over a matter of weeks and the wake of destruction it left: www.icij.org/investigatio... @icij.org

When a corporation's primary product is its stock, and it lists its main asset as being the CEO, it's time for that corporation to financially implode with the deafening roar of stupid people losing all of their investment.

I haven’t seen this yet but I loved Ben’s book about crypto that he wrote with @jacobsilverman.com. I’m guessing the film will be very entertaining too.

So... The "logic" here is that these strikes aren't subject to the War Powers Act because
- These are drone strikes
- The unarmed civilians we are killing can't fight back to harm US soldiers.
