Minnesota remains under siege, operations have started up again in Maine and never stopped in Chicago or LA.

Find on the ground groups to support (mutual aid, legal assistance, watch groups) and in as much as you are able to build up your capacity and your community's to sustain a general strike.
For all those who have been calling for a General Strike.

How we support a localized/ state-wide General Strike to succeed, is an important muscle building exercise for a larger General Strike.
Unions and community orgs are calling for a Minnesota-wide shutdown in 10 days to protest the ferocious assault by federal immigration agents. They're saying on Jan 23, no work, no school, no shopping. SEIU Local 26, UNITE HERE Local 17, & others are supporting, w/ more to join. By me, Amie Stager

This is a threat delivered by King David! He’s saying he’ll slaughter every “wall pisser” among Naval’s house! Translating it “male” removes all the profanity & aggression!

Yet the King James Bible is the only one I’ve found that translates this literally! My edition of Koren puts it in a footnote.

One of every thousand American residents has been taken into custody by ICE in the last year.
A stunning detail the ICE chief shared in this hearing that was supposed to be a brag, except it isn't: ICE has arrested 379,000 people between Jan. 2025-Jan. 2026 -- but only 8,700 were suspected gang members or known suspected terrorists.

That's 2%! www.huffpost.com/entry/latest...

Yes and it's a problem if we continue to frame migrants as important fiscal resources rather than people who should have freedom of movement
Fascism is the cult of suicide.

Until recently, America was one of the few large nations *not* facing population & then economic collapse.

Why? Immigration! People wanted to come here.

Now, we’ve lost ~7 million future people over the past year because Trump is stabbing the US with a rusty spoon
The UK faces a demographic disaster. By 2030, if net migration falls to 0% then the UK total population will top out at 70m.

That means more old people and fewer carers.

According to one think tank it also implies a reduction of GDP by 3.6%.

my feeling is that if we are going to let AI loose we should start simple and low-risk, like criminal profiling, autonomous driving and medical advice before we let it handle complex tasks
It’s crazy the sheer number of supposedly rational people who were like “ok but it’s good at health stuff” early on.
When AI was added to a tool for sinus surgery: “Cerebrospinal fluid leaked from one patient’s nose. In another… a surgeon mistakenly punctured the base of a patient’s skull. In two other cases, patients suffered strokes after a major artery was accidentally injured”

I need you both to pay attention to what Rep. McIver is doing. I need you both to join her, to go on record and say with your full throat, ABOLISH ICE.
McIVER: Do you consider yourself a religious man?

LYONS: Yes mam

McIVER: How do you think judgment day will work for you with so much blood on your hands?

LYONS: I'm not going to entertain that question

McIVER: Do you think you're going to hell, Mr Lyons?
