They set a slamhound on Turner's trail in New Delhi, slotted it to his pheromones and the color of his hair.

With SANDBAGGERS now on Amazon Prime, I present The Cut-Glass Index, a ranking of the series' posh accents. We begin at #10: Jeff Ross. Cartoonish American accent, vital as a foil, but a deep blow to the character. A golden retriever gallumping through the hedge rows amid the beagles. Score: 0/10Jef

Rosamund Pike in Now You Three Me isn't getting enough credit for channeling Sean Young in Ace Ventura. Pike kneeling stunned during Three Me's climax a clear homage to Young standing dazed before she's revealed as Finkle.

"What if you could join the United States of America? The USA has 340m members and if one government negotiated for all 340m and they bought a group plan like Taxes like Medicare does, they would be the largest collective entity in the country. They would drive prices down by sheer might."

Men operating a speedboat on the ocean are not in a fight with drones and missiles just as a fish swimming in a barrel is not in a fight with my shotgun.
Q: What did you see in the second strike?

Cotton: "I saw two survivors trying to flip a boat -- loaded with drugs, bound for the United States -- back over, so they could stay in the fight."

Have critics eager to bash this trash unfairly overlooked the book’s moments of intentional grace amidst accidental disgrace, this Teuton’s homoioteleuton?
I cannot convey to you the sheer fucking weirdness of Olivia Nuzzi's book.

More best of 2025 lists cropping up and only the great @bilgeebiri.bsky.social has SPLITTSVILLE in his Top 10. Trust no best of 2025 list that doesn't have a comedy or horror film on it.

I ransacked used bookstores for years looking for a Webster's 2nd without success. Then, one day, I discovered that some hero created a web version. Go forth and be like McPhee.

If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

The lowest that The Last Jedi should be is #2.
haven’t seen ROS or Solo but this seems like a pretty ball-knowing list from Pritzker, particularly if he volunteered the name “Star Wars” rather than “A New Hope”

Planned migration away from unsustainable areas is the only rational government policy and it is grimly funny to think about how far the US’s politics are from being able to accomplish that.

I should not be drinking assam this late, but an in-theater triple feature puts a gleam in a man's eye. Blue Moon first, then a fast walk from IMAX on 68th as the end credits of The Running Man began to drop into a seat at Walter Reade at Lincoln Center just as Sirat's title credits started.

KEEPER: Dread is a higher bar to clear than terror or revulsion and few can match Perkins in delivering it. So many gracefully sinister touches and all built upon the Atlas-like shoulders of Maslany. What I wouldn't give to see him tackle some cosmic horror.
