I am a huge fan of this one! THIS is how you bastardize an existing IP!
I saw @leahfromsd.bsky.social's post about her awesome Godzilla themed cake, and I remembered: the Wednesday before Thanksgiving WWOR would have a Godzilla marathon starting at noon. So I thought: damn I should be watching Godzilla! HBO Max has a ton of them, so I picked Mothra. Biollante next.

Advice: Meeting producer who I suspect will ask me to write the spec for free. I’m not averse to it as long as I own the screenplay, just to get something on the board. That said, what should I be asking for - as a percentage, gross or net? I’d imagine higher as no up front #scriptsky

Finished reading Dread Mondays and absolutely loved this anthology of work place horror. Our story “Cutting Room” is a grisly found footage horror in a video rental store and two stories in this collection (including ours!) are nominated for a Pushcart Prize!

100% this. Unless you're a gamer, PC performance plateaued years ago. If you check your email, social media, use Excel...any PC works. I recently got a new phone. I had an A51 from 2019 that I loved. I bought a Samsung S24+ from last year to replace it. Works fantastic for what I use it for!
I held on to a laptop for 11 years and only just replaced it this year with a used one for under $400.
There's been no appreciable gain in having faster phones, and Windows 11 isn't much more demanding than Windows 10.
Prices go up, but there's no commensurate gain.
