STAR DUCKS⭐🦆
A screw-up duck stranded on an uncharted planet must save her missing crew, fix their ship and, with help from the scroops, learn what it really means to be a true hero.

Sagittaria, a 20 year old duck anthro of golden hair and heart, carefully sneaks along a barren dirt field beneath two moons. Gun in hand an army helmet atop her head, she's ready for any sudden action.

Endgame was approaching. Her adventure buddy was near. How could they not be? Bonita the Brave had been following a trail of their fancy marbles. Would our heroine’s adventure buddy want to play a game of marbles with her? She dared to hope the answer was yes.

She reaches the cave. Puts away her adventure journal. Peers into the darkness - starts hopping about, waving her arms.

BONITA
Hello! Adventure buddy! You in there? Come on out and say hello!

Something stirs in the darkness. Her grin widens.

A grisly creature enters the light. Her face pales.

The beast stands as tall as a monster truck, resembling a shark mouth on two bulky legs. A dozen eyes blink in unison, all staring right at Bonita. It’s a CLIG!

It drools, hungrily licking its lips.

BONITA
Oh scrack! No, no, no!

Bonita runs for her life, SCREAMING all the way. The clig ROARS and chases after her.

EXT. JUNGLE TRAIL - DAY

Sagittaria jogs through the jungle, taking in all of the amazing and thoroughly alien sights. Every so often she flinches from her burns.

She uses the Star Pad to take a few photos, finishing off with a selfie in front of a large ROSE.

The rose sprouts a pair of EYESTALKS, staring at her.

SAGITTARIA
Cool!

The rose hisses like a snake. A moment later a sofa sized striped centipede lunges at the rose, starting to devour it.

The centipede is swiftly taken up in the jaws of a creature resembling a mix between an ostrich and a rat. Sagittaria watches in horror as the centipede is gored apart.

SAGITTARIA
Sick...

The ostrich rat takes a few steps... and the ground opens up, the SPINDLY LEGS of an UNKNOWN CREATURE bursting up to grab it and drag it down. Splashes of blood spurt from the hole.

Sagittaria stares, horrified.

SAGITTARIA
So long as it’s not zero, it could be a billion to one.

STAR PAD

SAGITTARIA
Shush!

She moves through an overgrowth, swatting aside branches and flora as she goes. She stumbles over a root --

EXT. THE CRASH SITE - CONTINUOUS

-- And tumbles into a wide clearing, roughly faceplanting onto the ground.

She sits herself up, groaning. Right in front of her, halfway embedded into the ground, is the nano welder.

SAGITTARIA
Score!

She plucks the tool from the ground and dramatically holds it overhead. Her gaze lands ahead. She whimpers.

The Quackening rests right in front of her. The once semi-passable ship lays in the middle of a CRATER, absolutely mangled from the crash.

SAGITTARIA
Oh quack, this is bad...

Boo! We wanted to be home to take Zooks trick-or-treating, so we fly out Saturday morning for the John Carpenter concert that night in LA 😅
