Putin pioneered this. No opposition is legitimate. Regular, decent, “ordinary” people cannot possibly be against us because only we represent “the real people.”

Tell-tale sign of authoritarianism.

Someone just called me a believer in "purity tests" because I think the Democrats who just voted to fund the president's unaccountable masked goon squad deserve to be primaried.

If your definition of "purity" is that basic, you're beyond helping

Every day the Trump administration wakes up and says how can we do more illegal shit for retweets, the Republican speaker of the house goes "sorry, I don't know what an internet post is" and Democratic leadership responds with "ya but how much did your toast cost?"

Not sure the "Sinners" fandom are prepared for the "Barbie" movie treatment, but as far as 'wins,' ... get ready...

Man... "Sinners" was great but a lot of its fans are going to be pissed when it wins only maybe 3-4 academy awards, none of which will be the biggest ones. (acting/directing/picture)

ICE/DHS launched a database with "the worst of worst criminal aliens."

As a piece of propaganda, it's reminiscent of work put out by white nationalist or nativist outlets, which selectively highlight migrants accused of or convicted by crimes. Here's a 2024 article from VDARE, framed similarly.

Wow... so "Hamnet" was outstanding...
I have rarely felt so moved and engrossed in a movie.

With no disrespect to "One Battle After Another," or "Sinners," (have yet to see "Marty Supreme") Hamnet was for me, the best movie from 2025. It deserves several Oscars.

Is it possible to filter all media (particularly BlueSky/YouTube etc') so I DON'T have to see all these obnoxious fucking 'punchy' subtitles on videos.
Whatever your video is about, seeing those attached makes furious at you. (the content-poster)

I'm not that irked by Kyle Tucker signing with the Dodgers (I called it months in-advance just like Ohtani) but it does feel almost block-worthy every time I see a moronic Dodger-defender pretending every other team can spend like L.A. and get the same R.O.I. in their markets.

Can YouTube go fuck itself for promotion movie clips that are edited?

Watched "The Smashing Machine" (2025) last night. It was very decent but it's wild how little things stand out in movies.

Safdie's choice to have the American National Anthem be performed in Japan where it never existed for the event being portrayed was gross... what the fuck?

Is it possible to filter/block all video content on the internet that has those stupid fucking 'punchy' subtitles?
I'm fully in support of standard subtitling of media, but that shit is so goddamn obnoxious...

Damn so many of you... I had to 'forever mute' 'perfect album' because those do not exist and it's just obnoxious bait when that shit is filtered to me.

The character 'Noah' asking James Mardsen to jump up and down on his bed while he's 'soaking' with a girl is one of the funniest bits I've ever seen on a T.V. show... 😂

I understand that a lot of folks have been misled by fear-mongering and powerful regressive voices but it’s still astonishing to me that so many have fallen for the idea that oppressively policing other people’s gender identity and expression could in any way be part of an enlightened future.
