One by one, Europeans mentioned in the Epstein files who still hold political office are beginning to resign or are being forced out of office.

Meanwhile, ruled by an administration almost entirely made up of Epstein associates, the US carries on as if nothing really happened.

Is the whole “six seven” meme just someone not understanding that “at sixes and sevens” is a British colloquialism (alternative for “whether I’m coming or going”) that rich white Americans pick up going to private school? (Ie: a class of Gen Alpha mocking any AmeriCorps teacher from the NE…)

If you have a billion dollars or more, you are evil. You don't start out as evil, so it's not like only evil people ever get a billion dollars; it's just that being a billionaire forced you to make a choice, be evil or change how you do things and stop being a billionaire. Billionaires choose evil.
You can look at the Epstein files and conclude that only bad people have billions of dollars, but I think it’s also possible that having billions of dollars cauterizes your humanity

Finally canceling all my Amazon memberships. Should have a long time before this considering how execrably Bezoz and the company treat employees, the environment, women, etc, but I am astounded by how depraved and craven he and Amazon have been.

Donald Trump was “never friendly” with Jeffrey Epstein—he just partied with him a bunch, met his wife at one of those parties, and what seems like his entire cabinet and inner political circle was always hanging out with him and asking him for political advice. Nothing sketchy here. Moving on.

So Trump successfully bullied a good man and his family. Because winning over Harris Walz wasn’t enough. Trump wanted to destroy him.

Walz is making the right decision for his family. But the success of Trump’s grotesque bullying campaign is yet another frightening step in our national descent.

There are serious First Amendment and separation of powers questions here. It cannot be the case that the executive branch can punish a legislator for protected speech.

There's a rising faction of the legal academy that stays quiet when their MAGAdemic colleagues produce fraudulent psuedo-scholarship in service to the cruelest aspects of Trump's agenda ... then leap in to police the discourse when their progressive colleagues criticize those MAGAdemics too bluntly.

I strongly feel that the difference between "I am making naked images of children" and "I have created a program that makes naked pictures of children when people ask it to" would not be as strongly apparent if it were not a billionaire doing it.

The median American has $8,000 in savings in the bank. In other words, this is like giving the median American an opportunity to make a massive, scandalous crime go away for a fine of $240.

As people comb the Epstein files for some crime they can get Trump on I’m thinking about how he was found with boxes of stolen top secret files in his possession and somehow that ended up being impossible to prosecute.

There once was a bird larger than the sky that aspired to a beak so sharp it slice through the space between atoms. Long was the journey to hone that beak of bone. Longer was the hunt to find yet again the next whetstone, increasingly harder and increasingly denser against which to sharpen a beak
