From the latest travel in London report. When nearly 90% of journeys in Inner London boroughs are walking, cycling or public transport why do we allocate so much space for the movement and storage of motor vehicles?

You can do everything asked for when cycling and still run the risk of being hit by some irresponsible drink driver.
Drink driving should be a decade long ban. If someone needs their licence then they shouldn't drink and drive. It's not hard.
And that twat is still the mayor.

If he relies on his driving licence for his job, he should have thought of that before deciding to drink. He didn't give a shit about drinking then drive so why should the courts give a shit about his frigging job as he didn't! Nor gave a shit he could've killed the victim! Life ban him!!

Today marks the 5th anniversary of the end of the consultation on pavement parking, carried out under the last government.

We've seen no action when it comes to standing up for people walking and wheeling, who are unable to go about their daily lives safely and easily.

The UK is about to give the US an extra £3bn a year.

The NHS 'can't afford' to pay doctors £500m a year more.

But it will give the USA 6x as much for nothing.

Let’s never forget rationing ventilators and Zoom funerals. Boris Johnson and his cronies partied while our loved ones lay dying alone. COVID-19 was the worst public health crisis in a century. We should have locked down earlier. To some of us, PPE was not a get-rich-quick commodity.

Killing someone with a vehicle needs to have a MUCH harsher penalty than currently. At the moment there is no deterrent for appalling driving behaviour.

“When the bridge closed, about 25,000 vehicles crossed it daily… Six years later, 9,000 of those journeys have vanished - not diverted to other crossings, but simply evaporated. Yet the local economy has adapted, air quality has improved, and overall traffic congestion has lessened.”

Having Energy sold at cost would save the UK £1,000 per household and be a massive boon to the economy.

Instead you pay £30bn extra which goes almost entirely to people who don't live, pay tax or spend money in the UK.

The first thing to do is revert to a proper definition of dangerous in law.

What is wrong with the dictionary definition?

"likely to injure or harm somebody, or to damage or destroy something"

Most careless driving is dangerous, yet courts struggle to because of the weirdly vague definition.
