Okay but this is worse right. “We kidnapped a child” is awful but ”we held a child hostage and used his voice as a psychological weapon to draw out his father” is monstrous

This is exactly the type of toxic mentality I am referring to. As if Trump just happened to us because of the “shape of our government.” Is Canada trying to manufacture a secessionist movement in Minnesota? Are they trying to annex Greenland? Do they have mass shootings often?
I love Canada and my Canadian friends but they are neither better nor worse than Americans and should be glad their government is shaped in a way they will never face a Trump
A lot of defensive Americans can’t handle the fact that no Canada is not as bad as us. They want to drag Canada down with them. Like a toxic friend who resents you for making better choices and has to gossip to everyone to feel better. It’s both chauvinism and insecurity.

It's really important to note that ICE is absolutely in Texas right now. They have the cooperation of local cops and state troopers, as well as the cooperation of state and local governments. Texans are being terrorized by law enforcement every single day. And we are also resisting hard.
