I do think this is what so many people get wrong about management.
You're not getting paid more because you are somehow nebulously better.
It is compensation for accepting responsibility.

I don't believe in the simplistic idea that good art can only be made in adversity, but I think that some of the emotional power of "Heaven or Las Vegas" can be attributed to two members of the band having just had a child together while the other lost a parent during the record's production
