I think the most important thing I, as a liberal political consultant, can communicate is that not only was everyone totally wrong in the past but they are currently wrong, and should immediately follow my suggestions despite them being indistinguishable from common practice.

I cannot stop thinking about how, in every one of these fucking emails, Jeffery Epstein comes across like the world’s biggest dipshit

See, I never get banned or suspended for making death threats because my death threats are so fucking adorable no one can bring themselves to punish me for them

Every single time! Epstein will write:

"porsecters h4arrsed me w/ sbuopenas al bcuase tr4ificing myners .due porcess much???no"

and then there's, like, the former president of a university or white house counsel or something replying:

"You're totally right, and also I love you with all my heart."

And to think they laughed at my Beatbox Beowulf one-man show
One of the things that gets lost in translation is how rhythmic & fun to read the prose of the original Journey to the West is.
Best way I can describe it is "Imagine if Dragonball was Written instead of Drawn"

Esp. when for most of its existence, this is how story would've actually been read:

As always, the various too-online axe grinders who have decided that the Nazi tattoo guy has an indispensable connection with the common man are, in fact, simply telling on themselves.

Bond’s constituent bits schlorp themselves back together to form a hideous monster who spends the movie stalking, killing, and eating innocent American tourists. By the end of the film he’s fully reconstituted and we can tease the next movie in the Tom Holland reboot. You’re welcome.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

If anyone does a film or TV adaptation of an Ian M. Banks novel, I think it’d be great if all the Culture characters were played by Muppets

I think we can all agree that, while it’s not the outcome we hoped for, the shutdown is hurting real Americans and if a group of moderate Democrats can negotiate a way forward, perhaps the best we can do is a verbal agreement from Republican senators that Lucy will not move the football

The awesome thing about Go is that it makes it easy to reduce allocations and increase memory locality by passing around slices backed by a single, contiguous array. The terrible thing about Go is that etc. etc.

Trying to figure out what #SCOTUS just did with #SNAP, and why Justice Jackson temporarily froze the district court's ruling?

Via "One First," me on what's going on—and why I think Jackson's move was savvy, notwithstanding the awful circumstances that forced it:

Re-upping this because it’s such a good paper. Really love the combine-then-expand paradigm, absolutely love the RO-KDF construction and its practical instantiation. Huge bummer the hybrid PQC KEM combiner IETF track is too mired in bullshit to benefit from this.
