Whipped up some fried chicken strips, mash potatoes, country gravy and buttered corn for dinner. One hour, not bad considering I butterflied and dredged the chicken, fried from scratch.

Lacto update: these have been fermenting for 6 weeks. I've combined 3 jars into 2, and refrigerated to settle and clear.
Amazing crunch and heat in the peppers and garlic, 3.75% sea salt brine.

My mother’s comals. In a few weeks it will be two years since she died. I keep one of them on the stove daily in honor of her. She primarily used her comal to toast bread as she was not interested in having a toaster. I can easily remember the smell of bread toasting on her stove. 🍽️🍜

This brings to mind the great Stanley Fish and Interpretive Communities.
If the work is any good, has any substance whatsoever, every reader that participates in it will come away with something different. Maybe broad strokes close to the same, but still different.
