Fascinated by the early modern period: I'm here if we you want to talk about John Milton, the 17th Century, Baroque Music and Art. The Reformation to The Enlightenment is my JAM.
To the death,
EITHER
In Iambic Pentameter
(Bonus for blank verse and anastrophe)
Or
"Decent" Chaucerian Middle English.

Yeah, aside from safety issues, having to use the Star feature in File Manager, because Ubuntu doesn't recognize Curseforge's launcher, is sub optimal.

It's a "system 1 thinking" trap, that quickly turns to sunk-cost fallacies, and ends in exploitation.
A tale as old as time, I guess.

Mind if I tell a mammoth story?

I used to live a mile away from Qagnax Cave on St Paul Island, Alaska. This was the 80s, 10 years before the mammoth bones were discovered. Near miss, I had no idea I was hiking near the last mammoths.

Always a pleasure.

Thank you for this! I especially appreciate that you connect the survivors on Henderson Island to Pitcairn, a near miss of just over 100 miles.

Similar, at least to me, to the Pandora (hunting the Bounty) and the Laperouse Expedition survivors; so close to rescue, and yet so far.

I didn't know there was a trade-school for "Indian Chief."

You'd LOVE Milton.

Can I share a slice of my birthday with you? We went to Yosemite: I live less than 3 hours away and never, or rarely visit.

I changed that yesterday.
It was 50° on the valley floor, 30° on the high passes.
