Perfect pairing 😍😍😍😍😍
this would make a crazy double-feature with Southland Tales
it's late, but fuck it: Manchurian Candidate 2004 in 4K

nobody did it like Jonathan Demme and Tak Fujimoto

About to see RESURRECTION, front row of a near sold out session in the one cinema showing it in Sydney. All I know going in is its 160 minute runtime. Pray 4 Elena.

Just had the religious experience of seeing YI YI for the first time and in a cinema no less.

Then came across Margaret Pomeranz's review - She thought it was 137 minutes long, not 173 and was running late for an appointment. She still gave it 4 stars.

It's such a strange phenomenon seeing a film super early that you actively had a horrible time with but just know everyone around you is gonna love when it's finally released. (A good thing/I'm very jealous).

This this this! One of the best of the year
Loved this. Looked at the Letterboxd score and some of y’all are straight buggin. This is the holy gospel according to Spike Lee for those with ears to listen. This is unc tugging on your collar and asking if you’re willing to rethink your priorities. A thrilling moral reckoning.
Now watching: Highest 2 Lowest (2025) Dir. Spike Lee

Brady Corbet's next film is 4 hours long, primarily set in the 1970's, carries an X rating and is shot entirely in 65mm

My hero ❤️

Despite having watched all of them, there's very few films in this series that I genuinely like.

With that said - I was also obsessed with FAST X and saw it 4 times in cinemas and had an absolute fucking blast each time. Still can't tell you why. This write up certainly made me feel less insane.

Uhh so this is wildly unexpected, but if you live in New Jersey (and I know some of you do) you can see Chris’ two most recent short films - including Passion Pop, the one I worked on! - at KEVIN SMITH’S FILM FESTIVAL in August
So we've just had TWO films selected to screen at @thatkevinsmith.bsky.social 's film festival, SMODCASTLE FILM FEST - PASSION POP and REFUSED CLASSIFICATION

U.S premieres for both films which are screening at the same time on the same day - Sat 9th - 12pm
