Yes. Knowing is enough. Adding to the outcry is enough. Pressuring your reps is enough. Telling your “not political” family & friends this happened, again, is enough. Supporting Minneapolis during this escalation of threat/action is enough.
the video of another person being murdered by the state on the streets of minneapolis shows exactly what people are saying it shows. make your own choices but don’t feel like you are obligated to bear witness to it. reading a description is enough.

I have an appointment at 2 pm. After that I can hunker down for the incoming weather. I’m kind of looking forward to it, the hunkering.

Sixteen years ago, the Supreme Court decided that corporations are people under the First Amendment.

Today, sold-out politicians block progress on all fronts to appease their corporate donors.

Citizens United is among the worst decisions in history. It corrupts our system every day.

I have been feeling a lot of anger lately due to our political climate.

Dolly made this video today for her 80th birthday to benefit pediatric cancer.

We can’t lose hope.

This is my regular reminded that if your clothes are full of tear gas and/or pepper spray, air them for a day if at all possible and then wash them twice ON COLD.

If you come home and throw them in on hot right away you will kinda gas your laundry room. <3

A neighbor was taken to a care facility, and her little tortoiseshell kitty was left behind. I can't take her in but I've been feeding her and giving her water every day. No one in the neighbor's family can take her in. Is there anyone in the Inland Empire area that could foster or adopt her?

I can’t remember who was here for this, but quite a while ago I was trying to remember a quote I was pretty sure was from Heinlein, and I finally found it, and it was. In case anyone is interested.

This is coming from a place of love and support, but…

It’s ‘shoo-in,’ not ‘shoe-in.’

It’s ‘case in point,’ not ‘case and point.’

It’s ‘moot point,’ not ‘mute point.’

It’s ‘hunger pangs,’ not ‘hunger pains.’

It’s ‘jibe with,' not 'jive with.'

Why does every flyswatter now have giant holes most flies can fit right through? If I wanted to give the fly a sporting chance, I’d try to sit on it or something.

On no, the people who don't pay taxes will run away and not pay taxes elsewhere! Won't someone think of the unpaid taxes that the state will lose?
Billionaires are considering cutting or reducing their ties to California by the end of the year because of a proposed ballot measure that could tax the state’s wealthiest residents.

It’s uncertain whether the proposal will reach the statewide ballot in November, but some billionaires like Peter Thiel and Larry Page may be unwilling to take the risk.
