My little daughters shiver in Gaza’scold rain falls above us and destruction surrounds us,and the only shelter they have is my heart trying to be a warm home in the middle of all this pain The situation is hard and the sorrow is greater than words . @mommunism.bsky.social tinyurl.com/SamaasFamily

A moment of appreciation for the camp food illustrations by George Kamitani for Dragon's Crown, it really set an insane standard for fantasy food illustration.

For at least a year, I've been returning to the question, how would you know when it's time to leave the US? For this piece, I asked trans, nonbinary, and genderqueer Americans who, with their families and partners, have recently fled the country, about how they made this decision and how they left.

Piracy discourse hot take: if you pirate a book great just tell someone about it!! The life of books is not money it's propagating the axon potential of having made up weird people and thoughts; money is just how we have to do it for now. So those who can purchase, those who can't steal and discuss

I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.
