About twenty years ago my mother developed Religion. We'd never prayed at the table, but she decided Thanksgiving was the time to start. She began thanking God for the food and my uncle who drove 3 hours for his visit muttered "I'm the one who's been cooking since dawn, you ought to thank me."

This is a disturbing read & so frustrating. So many people are completely ignorant about how dangerous childbirth was in the past, both to the infant & mother. Even if it didn't kill one or both, permanent lifetime damage could be done. While modern medicine is flawed, it's so much better than this.

This is a disturbing read & so frustrating. So many people are completely ignorant about how dangerous childbirth was in the past, both to the infant & mother. Between my sinuses and my joints, I feel as though somewhere in the past, I may have made some sort of bad fairy tale deal to have the ability to always know what the weather conditions are, not realizing how it would play out.

I don't consider myself a great cook by any measure, but I get a kick out of my kid texting multiple times a week to complain about the food off to her university, detailing how much she misses my cooking.

The issue isn't "AHAHAHA, GAY". The main issue about that particular news is that El Cheeto didn't want certain information getting out, setting himself up for being blackmailed and manipulated by Putin, which leads to questions about exactly how that played out.
