I have much in common with Nuuttipukki
St. Knut’s Day falls on 13 January (originally the 7th, but moved to separate it from Epiphany). In Finland, it marks the end of Christmas—and the arrival of the Nuuttipukki: a horned, ragged figure who demands leftovers and beer or threatens to create mischief. #FairytaleTuesday

I've always wondered what Aretha means by 'natural woman,' but I'm too afraid to ask.

When do I stop politely asking my baby to not punch me in the eye or spit up in my hair? She's only 6 months but I think it's time to stop being polite and start getting real.

So let me get this straight. Arranmore is not one of the Aran Islands, and has nothing to do with the Isle of Arran.

According to Czech Forbes, the top 50 doctors in the Czech Republic for 2026 include a man who told me we should never eat fruit, ever, and one who was an asshole to me when I was delivering my stillborn baby. But they've published a lot of articles or whatever so I guess they're great.

Red sky at night, sailor's delight. Red sky morning, sailor's warning. But the worst has to be red sky at 330 because it's winter and it's so depressing and you should be lucky to see the sun at all or any color sky that isn't grey.

Is white a color? I genuinely don't know and that scares me.

Snow already. I'm thinking about putting on pyjamas, curling up on the couch and not leaving my house until April.

To Alice Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything

You were a hero to Asian Americans, drag queens and people with disabilities around the world. May you do what you wanna do as your chariot carries you over the rainbow.

💔 Alice Wong’s last words: “Don’t let the bastards grind you down.”

We can never thank Alice enough for fighting all the good fights and especially all the hard fights. We all learned so much from your brilliance, your courage, and your indefatigable leadership. We will never forget you.

I just adore history
“No-Nutte November?” asked Tisquantum. Governor Bradford smiled and proudly told the Wampanoag how his community wasn’t releasing any ejaculate until December.

Tisquantum and Samoset looked at one another for a long while. “Why would you do that?” asked Samoset.

Watching figure skating with a glass of wine while my baby naps next to me is the exact opposite of everything being horrible and made of AI. I'd like to see generative AI generate a triple axel or a crisp Riesling, or a baby
