It's eternally frustrating that the HSE has the blinkers on & only looks to UK when it comes to trans healthcare when Spain & Malta are right there! In Spain I can walk into a pharmacist & get estrogen patches. No GP, no traumatic assessments. Just medicine without the bullshit and no one is harmed.
I’m at the Oslo trans healthcare conference today and have just been listening to Rosa Almiral of the Spanish trans healthcare service say “We have a waiting list of three weeks.” !!!!!!!!!!

Comment: Savagery like the attack on the innocent man in Tallaght can be expected as long as government punishes migrants for problems it creates, then feigns shock when members of the public mirror acts of sadism perpetrated by the state itself.

Comment: O'Callaghan delivers cruelty against migrants
His deportations have a theatrical quality that should unsettle anyone who cares about basic human decency.

There are an awful lot of NGOs in Ireland who claim to support people in the sex industry but have never given the real support UM has given over the years.

Now is the time for them to step up and use their massive funding (which UM has never had) to do something actually helpful for sex workers.
