so yesterday i saw “Epstein Files” finally appear on bsky trending. in 9 hours it had 2200 more posts and in 30 min it had 100 more. i think bluesky was indeed keeping it off the trending page 2 weeks ago.
my bluesky trending list hasn't had "Epstein" listed at all the last 24hrs, currently it's BBUK, Fallout, Ubisoft, Vine Reboot, and Grok. are those things really getting more posts than the Epstein files or is there curation going on?

Masked mercenaries are only able to kidnap people off our streets at random today because Democrats refused to defund ICE when they had the chance.

The same goes for the epidemic of police violence.

The movement against ICE should revitalize anti-police organizing.

Abolishing ICE is only the beginning. Have you looked at your local cops?

..

According to mappingpoliceviolence.us, police kill at least three people per day; from a meta analysis published in NYT, we now know the number could be six or even more.

I am absolutely seeing this in real time. I get at least 3 emails a day from people I know and people I don't asking me if I have leads on work. I usually have to say I do not. The job market is NOT GOOD right now at all.

more and more awareness in msm of AI falling short of tech industry claims.

eventually finance will turn their eyes to their investments.

and when enough ppl see the shortcomings, and they fear losing their money, and amidst that fear something rocks the boat further, we will live the crash.

“Bringing business along with us”, a story in 2 acts:
November 21, 2025 at 4:35 PM
apparently it’s untrue, google is not training their ai on our emails. leaving this up for transparency. and cuz that distress tolerance thing is still true.
also the punishment after changing my settings: everything's in the main inbox now. promotional emails galore.

this is the other way they get people to comply, sweet sweet convenience.

everything being smooth and resistance-free feels nice to our brains but it's atrophying our distress tolerance
November 22, 2025 at 10:48 PM
oookay i was misinformed.

my inbox mess got me to unsubscribe from a good number of things but grateful i can put the filtering back
since the "google is now training gemini on your email contents" thing keeps bumping around here: it's _not happening_. I say this not to defend google but because I know a lot of people that have broken their filtering and made their lives much more annoying from sheer misinformation.
The malwarebytes Google opting-your-emails-into-ai-training thing is not true. The post is based on one bad tweet.

I know anti-tech lamenting is a Bluesky core principle, but please use the same judgement you would for any other clickbait.

every time i make the effort to adjust important settings like this i wonder about what % minority i am.

how many people will unknowingly have their entire inboxes scraped?

hundreds of millions. maybe billions if gemini will read all accounts.

This isn't it. Embracing the police-state rhetoric of people with criminal records as "the worst of the worst," even if only to show the Trump regime's hypocrisy, is not helpful and ultimately abets fascism and a white-supremacist government. One in every three US adults has a criminal record.

this many hours into the recent release of epstein emails, much of the internet talking about it, and @bsky.app's 4/5 or arguably 5/5 trending topics are related to epstein and yet... no epstein trending tag?

was @sarahkendzior.bsky.social removed because @bsky.app wants to cover for the powerful?

Thinking today how homelessness runs through this story, through Epstein's (Virginia Guiffre had been homeless before meeting him), and even through Gaiman's (his nanny was sleeping on the beach when Palmer recruited her, and he used threats of homelessness against another victim).

Make the Goddamn meal and put it in your Free Fridge. Write the $100 check to the food bank. Ask your local school what they need for the kids and then go about trying to get that stuff.... Do these things regularly and you are making meaningful contributions to your communities.
