Tear gas is banned in international warfare, yet classified as a “riot control agent” that law enforcement can use for crowd control.

“It just doesn’t work well, and it hits the weakest people the most, and causes the most complications in them,” an anesthesiology professor at Duke University said.
Tear Gas Is Way More Dangerous Than Police Let On
In the middle of a respiratory pandemic, law enforcement agencies have used tear gas in especially dangerous ways. The chemical agent also seeps into homes, contaminates food, furniture, skin and surf...

I was a White House ethics lawyer.

I used to advise people not to even accept a free cup of coffee from someone who had interests before them. And staff followed those rules.

I can’t even find the words to describe the scale of Trump’s corruption here.
Foreign countries are bribing our president to sell out the American people.

Trump family businesses made $187 MILLION from this deal, and just months later he gave the UAE some of our most top-secret AI tech.

They are selling our national security to the highest bidder.

An agency that is kidnapping children, shooting innocent people in the streets, and terrorizing our communities can’t be reformed. We need to abolish ICE.

This was insane. So many kids were there.

Obviously fuck ICE.

Fuck the cowardly Portland police.

Fuck you if you support this shit.

Wild.
Just experienced the most intense tear gassing of my life by federal officers outside the ICE facility in Portland where marchers gathered. There was no fast exit as they indiscriminately threw loads of gas and flash bangs. Children were in the crowd screaming. @oregoncapitalchronicle.com

The U.S. will likely lose its measles elimination status. Here's what that means

Very important vote. It makes repealing ICE surge funding the mainstream position in the party, with bipartisan support.
👀 Every Senate Democrat + Collins and Murkowski just voted for the Bernie Sanders amendment to repeal the $75 billion in additional ICE funding under Trump’s “big beautiful bill.” The measure failed 49-51.

My Progressive Caucus colleagues and I have been clear: not another cent to ICE until we stop the chaos and the lawlessness.

If this comes to the House, I’m voting no.

Showing true leadership
Commentary: As Lake County’s elected state’s attorney, I write to say there is hope. We can make our communities safe again by prosecuting federal agents for clear violations of state law.
Eric Rinehart: State prosecutors must hold federal agents accountable when they break the law.
There is no absolute immunity for federal officials who break state law. No president can issue pardons for state crimes.

Underrated area that needs regulation and investigation into the admin
There were already bipartisan negotiations to pass a cryptocurrency bill that would have provided more meaningful guardrails on the industry, but Republicans threw it out.

Why? So President Trump and his crypto allies can profit off their own personal cryptocurrencies.

What kills kids in America:

1. cars
2. guns

Guess what the GOP has worked relentlessly to support for half a century now?
Gov. Landry: "I like to ask Democrats if they like their communities to be dangerous or safe. Do they want their children to be able to walk to school or do they want to worry if they send them on the sidewalks, that unfortunate violent things are going to happen to them?"

Cmon Walz.. what is this?
"I'm gonna give Homan the benefit of the doubt"

"They should coordinate with local law enforcement, pick these people up in the middle of the night when they're not suspecting it"

Walz is capitulating to fascists and encouraging night raids. Genuinely disgusting. Why would anyone settle for this?

It's certainly possible Trump doesn't know the difference, but most of the time it's deliberate misinformation to confuse those who just don't know better.
Since Trump doesn't seem to know the difference, let us make it clear:

1. It’s called CLIMATE change, not weather change. The climate is still warming over a long period of time even when it's cold outside.

2. Climate change is making extreme weather events, including winter storms, more intense.
