I miss the good Internet, maybe I am getting old. Cosplaying as a transportation planner by day. Other interests include old houses, whisk(e)y, photography, and spatial data science. I probably won't talk about any of them though. Jersey grown.

It's an old and obvious pattern. An unpopular president - failing on the economy and losing his grip on power at home - decides to launch a war for regime change abroad.

The American people don’t want to “run” a foreign country while our leaders fail to improve life in this one.

My new years resolution
Remember: If we allow ourselves to fall into fatalism, or wallow in disappointment, or become resigned to what is rather than what should be, we will lose the long game.
The greatest enemy of positive social change is cynicism about what can be changed.

Union Station is also where a lot of people enter DC for protests.
Posting National Guardsmen inside DC's Union Station is all about theater & initimidation.

There is no crime problem at Union Station warranting this nonsense but it is a hub for commuters who work on and around Capito Hill.

This is all a dress rehearsal

Why do we always hear "we can't afford to pay our workers more" but never "we can't afford to pay our CEO more"?
