Political earthquake. Nithya Raman is running for mayor.

Not only does this pose a serious threat to Mayor Bass, but it reframes the June primary in a way that benefits down ballot progressives in other city races.

It is VERY important to get your electeds to publish state "abolish" as it moves the needle of what will be a midterm platform point. If you want Dems to abolish when they have legislative levers, it has to be publicly acceptable discourse RIGHT NOW.
I will not support any funding deal that puts money in the hands of Stephen Miller, Kristi Noem, and this violent agency. Defund and abolish ICE now.

Your favorite progressive politicians are extremely horny for bills that restrict access. Elizabeth Warren is notoriously anti-SWer and keeps putting her name on these bills.

Said before will say again: even Bernie Sanders signed off on FOSTA-SESTA before he VERY tepidly said he shouldn't have.
I’m glad to see people protesting Discord forcing IDs for age verification, but what I need everyone to understand is that there’s immense bipartisan pressure to make the entire internet like this, and they are likely going to succeed unless something drastic happens

This is a pogrom
More than 400 people, including hundreds of citizens, were “sorted” at gun point into racial and ethnic groups by 200 ICE agents who fired flash-bang grenades into cars with people inside, pointed guns at children & demanded their zip tied parents not comfort them. apple.news/Ausdx6kWtT0e...

Yet every verified MAGA chode on X dutifully calls it a riot or violent insurrection.

"Pornography" has two meanings: the dictionary one where it's about erotic material, and the common one where it means "art I do not respect and therefore do not consider art".
When a sitting representative refers to the Super Bowl halftime show as “pornography,” people should use that to reflect on how they and other representatives are simultaneously working to ban, censor, and restrict “pornography” and what that actually means
