Imagine being a cadet at West Point now--some of the most elite future officers in the world--and being told you can't read an American Nobelist, Toni Morrison, even as the government you're to serve decides that the only refugees it'll permit--indeed, seek--are white Afrikaners.

He said he agrees that the law firms haven't done anything wrong and brags about extorting them.
Trump: "Have you noticed that lots of law firms have been signing up with Trump? $100 million. Another $100 million for -- ah -- damages that they've done ... they give me a lot of money considering they've done nothing wrong."

I have lived in authoritarianism before, and participated in a popular movement against it. My political voice was born in it. I was just talking to a friend - this moment is *triggering* because it feels like so few people are reacting on the magnitude of what I know is coming.

The only people supporting Trump and Vance are Putin, his other dictator buddies, and spineless cowards in the GOP.
In an extraordinary display of public support, heads of state, heads of government, and foreign ministers from all over Europe and Canada are posting in support of Ukraine in response to the Oval Office meeting with Trump, Zelenskyy, and Vance.

Modern-day coups don’t require rifles. They happen when the executive seizes power, dismantles the judiciary, and usurps the legislature—just like what’s happening now.

There's a very real question as to whether federal law will apply to Trump's allies at all during Trump's term. The atmosphere of impunity may be like nothing we've seen in our lifetimes.
BREAKING: Federal prosecutors based in Nashville have withdrawn from the criminal investigation of Tennessee Congressman Andy Ogles, an unprecedented move that could signal plans by the Trump administration to drop the case against a Republican ally. www.newschannel5.com/news/newscha...

If you are a federal worker being offered a buyout, I would advise against taking it.

Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice.

But these offers are a rush job. The legality is questionable and this admin does not keep to its word.

They aren’t firing for a reason.

I’m allotted something like 60 purchase requests per year. Wild. I love libraries!
If you want to read a new book coming out but don't want to buy it, a great thing you can do is ask your local library to order it. The more requests they get, the more likely they are to acquire it and then lots of people will get to read it who othewise wouldn't.

Kind of wonder how it would be covered if a new CEO came into a big company and just started firing people left and right because he suspects they don’t like him.

SHARE WIDELY.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.

With mass deportations starting today across the country, it is vitally important - for both citizens and non-citizens - to know your rights.

You have the right to remain silent. Assert it. You have the right to a lawyer. Ask for one.

So. Time that a rabbi said it, so I'll be that guy:

The Divine-Authorized Conquest Of The Holy Land is a horrendous, toxic narrative that's been used to justify untold atrocities, including now.

AND it never happened.

Looking at what likely DID happen may actually be critical at this moment.
debunking the conquest narrative
facing one of the hardest narrative arcs in the Bible armed with the truth of what really happened

He's really too pathetic... Buckle up buttercup....
This is the most embarrassing post Trump has done in quite some time and I am very aware of all that's saying.
“Be loyal to the man who made you so much money” is definitely an argument that’s going to work on Taylor Swift, very notably a huge fan of men who undeservedly take credit for her success. 👍
