New tariff just dropped.

Americans set to pay an additional 10% tax on all goods from Germany, the UK, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland.

It starts in two weeks, rising to 25% by June.

(Aside: A trade war with one EU country is a trade war with the entire EU).

We must unconstitutionally impose more taxes on Americans because the threat of illegal aggression against a heretofore American ally hasn't worked out as smoothly as we imagined.
Trump says he'll impose a 10% tariff (rising to 25% in June) on Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands and Finland, because they've sent people to Greenland, until the US can buy Greenland.

Job growth has stopped (and may even be in decline).

It stopped right around "Liberation Day."

Am I to understand that the position of the US administration and the court system is that foreign presidents are accountable to the US court system, but the US president is not?

Tha GOP always says government should run like a business. No business would give a vendor access to cut checks.
Thank you, Senator! Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Ron Wyden demanded answers from Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent after reports surfaced that personnel affiliated with Elon Musk have sought access to a highly sensitive Treasury Department payment system.

Not understanding basic economics while running a government...
If you offer an across-the-board buyout to 2 million people, the best have outside options and will take it; the worst have none and will stay.

Either (1) Elon Musk is an idiot, and he doesn't understand adverse selection or worse yet (2) he isn't, he does, and he wants the best gone.

If you're wondering where this "Sin of Empathy" stuff comes from, it comes from Joe Rigney and his 2019 book and his preaching leading to that point. It is published by Canon Press, the propaganda outlet of paleoconfederate separatist Douglas Wilson.

$25,561.50 in health insurance costs in 2024, and I found better prices on prescriptions and care by eschewing my plan rates and shopping on my own.

This system does not work.
