Waiting for the day.

And I'm a fucking bitch.
If you could wave a magic wand right now and choose between Democratic Senator Joe Manchin and his replacement Republican Senator Jim Justice, who would you pick?

I think it's clear that many people on this app would choose the Republican.

Please share with your apolitical family and friends. Are they on board with this?
This video filmed by Ben Luhmann shows the moment a federal agent sprayed chemical irritants directly into a man's face in south Minneapolis.

Three agents already had the man pinned to the ground when a fourth agent walked up and sprayed the irritants.

A Minnesota high school student was nabbed by ICE agents as she was trying to pick up food for her family after work. She was violently dragged from her car and lost her shoes. So, barefoot in the middle of winter, she was put into the back of an unmarked car in a small town (Willmar).

This is a long, but really nice thread from Senator Whitehouse, whose father was once Ambassador to Laos.
The gentleman who ICE hauled without cause out of his home in his underwear into the icy Minnesota winter (after terrifying his 5-year-old grandson) was from Laos, one of the Hmong hill tribes people of the then-Kingdom of Laos.

You should know a bit about the background of those people.

The only real leverage we have over Trump is the stock market.
What a Dow drop of 800 can do
Trump: "Based upon a very productive meeting I had with Mark Rutte, we have formed the framework of a future deal with respect to Greenland and, in fact, the entire Arctic Region. This solution, if consummated, will be a great one... Based upon this understanding, I will not be imposing the Tariffs"

I don't think I've ever said this in public, because it's not our place, and it's thrown around too much anyway. So I hope it carries more weight.

That is: he's lost his goddamn mind.

Usha, sweetie... You can't save the marriage with another baby. He's already in love with another woman. You think he'll stay now. You think he'll fall back in love with you.

It's not going to work. 😒

This is pure, unabashed bigotry.

If a politician said this about any other faith, they would rightfully be run out of their party.

But this kind of despicable anti-Muslim rhetoric is so normalized that a sitting Senator uses it without consequence.

A stain on our Congress.

The more I think about this, the angrier I get. It takes a particularly virulent strain of sociopathy to sit and let hard-working people serve you a meal knowing that you plan to arrest them and send them off for deportation once they're off of work.

Really depraved shit.
A few days ago, Fox News was whining about ICE agents getting heckled at a Mexican restaurant in Minneapolis.

Meanwhile, in the town of Willmar, ICE agents had lunch at a Mexican restaurant, waited until it closed, then confronted and arrested three workers as they left.

Hey, so, OB-GYN shortages are bad for women.

This is exactly what happens when you put moronic, anti-science men in charge of women’s health.

This is beautiful. I worry about what this evil administration is doing to our hearts. Anger can be righteous, but only in the service of love and justice.
James Talarico: Scripture says that God is love. And I always think the question, ‘do you believe in God?‘ is a strange one because to me, God is the ultimate reality.

I think the question people are asking is, ‘do you believe in love’? And love to me is the most powerful thing in the universe.

i’ll say it again, jennings is a contemptible liar and it is a disgrace that CNN puts him on television every night to spread bullshit
The thing is, some people can make mistakes, get things wrong, be careless, etc. But that’s not what Jennings did here. Jennings knowingly, purposefully and intentionally lied to utterly distort what was said, which CNN pays him to do every day. CNN is the enabler of this.
