Doing stuff in space has always paid off in technical developments for doing stuff on earth. Space science is cool and good and necessary. None of that money is wasted in any way that matters bc money isn’t real and social dynamics inform who gets money on earth, not how much money there is.

Pretty easy to see how this happens, metroid prime 4 is an incredible money sink, the budget on this game is probably reaching the 100 million mark. They /really/ need this to sell to a broader audience than sweaty nerds.
