Trying to explain that a debt based economy means that if the prices did go down suddenly the cost of debt goes up and that tips over banks and businesses but the whole thing sounds vaguely insane. Just telling people that banks make most of our money and not the government crosses eyes.

Yeah I think they’re more meant to be like rewards for paying attention to where the little gremlins are moving around but it does feel really imprecise.
