I’ve posted this before but the light was perfect today- a little Victorian cat paw in a brick at the front of the old Norfolk & Norwich Hospital. As this is on the front-facing corner of the main gates, the bricklayer quite clearly put it there on purpose, at a height where children would spot it.

Wow. Reported dumped/windblown rubbish in our street online and Council came and removed it within 45 minutes! Credit where it’s due etc…

In the pub last night, accosted by a chugger (Brit: charity mugger) in a tabard saying their company is raising money for a charity and will we pledge for the disabled kiddies.
My friend S: Are you a registered charity?

Went to see a storyteller do A Christmas Carol at the Dukes today. Fantastic stuff. Messages sadly as relevant as ever. It really is a cracking yarn and was well told. We loved it! 😊

I do despair of the lack of common sense from some sellers on Vinted. Bought a vintage china plate. It was well wrapped etc but not marked “fragile” in any way. Needless to say delivery company have not therefore been sufficiently careful so it’s arrived in pieces. 🙄

Pleasant evening up at the Uni seeing Lancaster’s local orchestra (The Haffner). Interesting programme of Mahler and Strauss. I do worry for the future of classical music though as me and my friend, both mid-50s, were among the younger members of the crowd. 😳(And yes we went for drinks after!!)

Popped into town to pick up a skirt I’d had altered, started the Christmas shopping, and bought myself a string of pearls because why not?? 😅
