Put another way, Hegseth approved the idea that someone grabbing a radio and saying "Help, our boat just got blown up." is a legitimate military target.

Given that Admiral Bradley knows the order to attack in the first place was illegal, it's clear he's decided his career is more important than his honor.

He once dreamed of being an astronaut.
A top admiral is expected to tell lawmakers tomorrow that he and his legal adviser concluded that the two survivors of a boat strike in September were attempting to continue their drug run, making them and the damaged vessel legitimate targets for another attack.

There’s every chance that this time next week, Pam Bondi will be rolling out the administration’s plan to obstruct the Epstein files full release.

The likelihood is that tariffs will be struck down tomorrow, then the health subsidies vote, et cetera.

Then you're jake.
The right's now hegemonic argument that cocaine is actually a chemical weapon and that mere suspicion of having it on your boat justifies an order to kill everyone aboard is astoundingly insane

"The requirement to refuse to comply with orders to commit law of war violations applies to orders to perform conduct that is clearly illegal or orders that the subordinate knows...are illegal. For example, 𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐮𝐩𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐰𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥."

Imagine being a career officer in the chain of command on Trump's boat bombings. You have deep moral and legal concerns about them. Your faith in leadership is shaky. Then you see Pete Hegseth tweet out a sadistic cartoon about it. Must be awful.

Admiral Bradley was the first in his class from the USNC to make 4 stars and an absolute legend in the SEALS/spec ops community known for his obvious intelligence and character.

He now has to decide if he's going to let these mediocre shills ruin him or if he's going to blow up his career.
REPORTER: Does the administration deny that that second strike happened, or did it happen and the administration denies that Hegseth gave the order?

LEAVITT: The latter. Secretary Hegseth authorized Admiral Bradley to conduct these kinetic strikes. He worked well within his authority and the law.
