In honor of Larry Summers, I asked the female members of my college class (1987) to say if they had any experiences with sexual harassment by teachers/professors, back when this was tolerated as, I dunno, the cost of attending college, and OH MY GOD.

A great example of how insane everything is right now, is that it took nearly a week for me to hear the clip of Lindsay Graham saying, "What's with all this Hitler shit anyway?"

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

BREAKING: At Pope Leo XIV’s urging, U.S. Catholic bishops just delivered the strongest rebuke of a sitting president in Church history — condemning Trump-Vance raids as “inhumane” and “dehumanizing” in a 216–5 vote.
NEW: At Pope Leo’s Urging, Bishops Issue Historic Rebuke of Trump’s Raids
Nearly all U.S. Catholic bishops united in Baltimore to denounce the Trump administration’s “inhumane” deportation campaign — a near-unanimous, unprecedented moral stand against a sitting president.

Starbucks workers strike starts Thursday! Brian Niccol makes 6,666 times what a barista does
it's not that i ever doubted that being a barista was a skilled position, but my year-long effort to try to produce a half-decent latte at home has convinced me that a good barista is easily more skilled than virtually every c-suite executive on the planet

This is literally not true
Pressed by Stephanopoulos on the fact that electricity prices have in fact gone up, Bessent punts: "Electricity prices are a state problem ... look, there are things the federal government can control. Local electricity prices are not one of them."

idk, I lived in a town 1/100 the size of NYC in Montana that had free buses.
Also, the Left totally gets the limits of Mamdani's platform and the context of his victory. No one thinks a candidate in, say, rural Iowa can run on free buses. What is replicable is the focus on affordability as well as finding candidates who believe what they say. Chait is not some truth teller.
