The Satanic Day Care Panic, QAnon, and Pizzagate were moral panics. They relied on distorted, exaggerated, and misconstrued interpretations of the underlying facts. What Epstein did is real. It is not a "moral panic" to call for investigation and punishment of those who participated in his crimes.

Appreciate this brief recap of reality. Media folks keep pushing the “Joe is going to break from Trump” narrative, and it’s just not happening. He’ll only ditch Trump when a major portion of his audience ditches him. (Maybe what Madeline is capturing here could be the start of that.)

An uprising broke out at an immigrant jail in southern Texas on Saturday, with around 1,000 immigrants detained in the facility — many of them children — chanting “Libertad” and “Let us go,” according to an attorney who witnessed the event.

just gonna throw out a quick reminder that in America police kill a yearly average of 3 civilians per day, routinely in situations very similar to these ICE killings, and decades of explicit support for police impunity by US politicians is why ICE feels theyre able to get away with this right now
