Emmanuel Garcia went missing, and rather than check missing person’s reports, Houston PD called ICE.

My grad school mentor & close friend committed suicide during my 2nd year. I spiraled and quit the program. I was good with computers and was already writing code and that led to a job. That job became a career. Almost 30yrs later I'm still in IT and love it.
I still miss my mentor every day.
