He/Him
Any Thanksgiving we spent at my now no-contact brother's house. Mom's dead now so if he found this account he can screen shot to his heart's desire. Every year sucked, the food was always sub-par, the house was a mess. His kids deserved better, I stopped going and didn't celebrate it for a few years
yes, hello, I would like to place an order for everyone’s funniest stories of holiday food-related family grudges / drama / chaotic incidents / lore

I feel like we need this

Marjorie Taylor Greene's resigning in time to get a pension is a lesson to everyone.

Most Americans don't get *any* pension anymore, but Congress gave itself a pension after only five years of work.

Our "representatives" aren't working for us, they are [barely] working for themselves.

As a survivor of the Tulsa Race Massacre, Viola Ford Fletcher bravely shared her story so that we’d never forget this painful part of our history. Michelle and I are grateful for her lifelong work to advance civil rights, and send our love to her family.

15 of the top 20 highest paid Kansas City, MO city positions are in the fire department. #20 earns $215,212.

Maybe they've overextended their goodwill just a little?

The Civil Rights Movement.

EYES ON THE PRIZE is solid, but over forty years old. There's been a lot of great work on the movement since then. And while EYES leaned heavily on interviews with participants, a new series could make use of that scholarship to get beyond the Montgomery-to-Memphis arc.
I figure Ken Burns has one, maybe two big documentary series in him before he fully retires. What do you think they should be? My votes include Football, Hip-Hop, World War 1, Reconstruction (though Skip Gates did this one well), Iraq/Afghanistan, 19th Century Expansionism.

Not putting your feet on chairs is the only not-weird thing he said. Flying is a miracle but capitalism has turned it into an awful experience if you can't afford upgrades. You're shoved into a tiny seat with your knees pressed into the seat in front of you. Wear your PJs. Fuck this reality douche
Duffy on his demand that air travelers not wear slippers or pajamas: "It honors our country ... don't take your shoes off and put your feet on the chair ahead of you"

If only they sold size-inclusive merch. Fatties need not bother. Can't even get bigger sizes online. In 2 years I've only found 3 shirts I can wear. At least it saves me money

Chanel approaching 4th, San Francisco

Possibly queued for a Billie Eilish show at Chase Center ~half mile away.

The light rail train on 4th seen passing in front of this roboherd has more passenger capacity than all of them combined.

Marjorie Taylor Greene came into Congress in 2021 worth about $700,000. She leaves five years later worth around $25,000,000. 😳 Congress is just a giant insider-trading scheme.

🦃TURKEY TIP🦃‼️

Have a large frozen turkey? Get it in the fridge to thaw tonight.
But don't even THINK about thrusting into that turkussy neck hole until at least Tuesday because the ice in there will fuck you up worse than the ice you lifted off that unconscious hooker in Muncie.

Eat arbys.

DOGE was created for data theft and infrastructure dismantling and it wildly succeeded on both counts within the first few weeks of its existence. It will take a generation to rebuild what it destroyed and the breach of data is unprecedented.
Bye bye, “DOGE”.

It no longer exists as a “centralized entity”, according to the Office of Personnel Management.

11 years ago today I took my mom to see Loretta Lynn at the Uptown. She was my mom's favorite singer and I'm so glad I was able to do this with her. Dad died before I was grown and never got these times #OrphanBoy

We do know who killed JFK. The Warren Commission was an incredibly thorough and good-faith effort to prove and document what had happened, which they did. The conspiracy theories arose in spite of best efforts to avoid them, but there really isn't anything they could have reasonably done better.
My first political memory - exactly 62 years ago right now, a 4-year-old boy trying to understand his mom's tears - is still the biggest event in my lifetime. We still (IMO) don't *really* know who killed JFK, but we know the public's trust was shattered. It's a straight line to today's mess
